Thanks for all the shares over the weekend for the Samaki Bream QLD Open - there were thousands of hits on the scoreboards and lots of cheering on for the anglers.

Josh from Samaki gave us two of the new Zing Xtreme V3 Bream Rods to giveaway over the weekend. Congratulations to our two winners, Sharyn Dent and Paul Langley, you both scored yourself a new bream fishing rod!

Thanks again to everyone who shared out the event, commented and cheered on the anglers. It all made for a great weekend of BREAM fishing in South East Queensland.

The Samaki BREAM Queensland Open is on the 1st and 2nd of June 2024. This event puts anglers to the test - fishing one day on Moreton Bay and one day on the Gold Coast you need to give it everything you've got each session, you can't afford to hold anything back!

This event is boater only (with observers on selected boats) and is 100% payback.

A shortened pre-fish ban means any anglers who have on water commitments with SCIBS this year will be able to compete in this year's BREAM Queensland Open.

For full event details and the entry form head check out the link in the comments.

BARRA Teams - Start making your plans!

Entries for the 2024 Zerek BARRA Series and 2024 Venom BARRA Australian Open will open at 1pm (AEST) on Monday the 13th of May.

Entries for each event are capped at 50 boats (teams). Once maximum entries for an event are reached you will receive a message on the online entry form advising that you can join a waitlist.

Find all the event info and links to entry forms in the comments.

Note - the reason we have had to cap the events is due to limitations on boat ramp facilities (it took over 2 hours to launch at Faust in 2023). The maximum field in recent years has been 46 boats - we've haven't broken the 50 boat cap since the mid-2000's. Hope we get close this year!

**Observer Nominations Open - 2024 Samaki BREAM QLD Open**

We've opened up nominations to jump on board as an observer for this year's Samaki BREAM Queensland Open.

This is a boater only event that puts QLD's finest bream anglers to the test fishing one day on Moreton Bay and one day on the Gold Coast (we'll confirm which day we will be fishing out of which ramp the week of the event).

If you're keen to jump on board as an Observer for the event you'll need to fill in the online nomination form and let us know which days/venues you're able to join us for. Link in the comments.
