🌿Crisis Averted!!🌿

🌿Imagine you’re 3 weeks out from your wedding and discover you don’t have a celebrant booked…
🌿Cue a mad rush trying to find someone available and willing to help you with such a short turn around!

🌿Luckily for S&K who went through this very experience that is where I stepped in!
🌿We immediately got to work putting together their shortening of time application, and luckily as the error in organising a celebrant wasn’t their fault after a few days of crossing our fingers and toes their application was approved! 😮‍💨

🌿With a tight turnaround it was straight onto ceremony writing and planning, luckily my years of work as a funeral celebrant has me well equipped to create ceremonies in a matter of days so I had complete confidence that S&K would still get the ceremony of their dreams!

🌿Just 15 days after their initial enquiry came through S&K were married and it was smiles all around!

🌿Game changing myth buster!👇🏼🌿

🌿Pronouncing your marriage (which generally comes right before your money shot kiss) is NOT something your celebrant has to do 🤯

🌿This means that ANYONE, literally a n y o n e, be that your great pop, your kids or a guest you just couldn’t quite find an official role for can be the lucky one/s to say “I now pronounce you husband and wife” or any variation of those words that best fit you and your partner!

🌿How to write the perfect vows🌿
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌿Step 1: Stop overthinking it!
Your partner loves you for who you are, provided you write from the heart you literally can't go wrong!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌿Step 2: Make it fun!
Grab a glass of wine, some paper & colourful pens and write down ALL the things you love about your partner, followed by everything you want to bring to your marriage.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌿Step 3: Niche it down!
Now it’s time to get a highlighter and go through what you’ve jotted down, highlighting the 5 things that you love most of all about your partner and the 5 things you know your partner will value you bringing to the marriage the most!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌿Step 4: Write the perfect vows!
First decide on the delivery style, will the vows be romantic, funny, etc.? Then start weaving the 10 things you have highlighted together to create your vows. You might want to begin with the 'I love, value, admire, treasure, appreciate you because' section and then move into the 'I promise, vow, commit, swear to' part but there are literally no rules so you do you!

🚨Wedding Myth Buster!🚨

🌿Despite popular belief did you know you don’t actually have to say “I do” to be legally married in Australia!?
🌿Instead you must include the legal vows, “I call upon the people here present to witness that I (full name), take you, (partner’s full name), to be my lawful wedded (spouse/husband/wife)”, which can only be spoken after your celebrant has said some specific legal wording 🤯
🌿BUT fear not! If you’ve always dreamed of writing and sharing your own personalised vows and saying those two little words “I do” there is absolutely nothing stopping you from including this within your ceremony after the legalities are out of the way!

🌿Guest seating!🌿

🌿Hands up who’s guilty of sitting towards the back of a ceremony because everyone knows the front seats are for VIP’s!? 🙋‍♀️
🌿 We’ve all done it right? But often this leaves heaps of empty seats and an awkward re-shuffle forward once the VIP’s arrive!
🌿Or worse, imagine your VIP’s sit in the front row and then your bridal party (who you wanted seated for the ceremony) walk down the aisle to find their seats filled! Eek!
🌿With so much going on leading up to your wedding, ceremony seating is rarely a topic you discuss but it can lead to some pretty awkward delays if it’s not properly addressed!
🌿Luckily all of these issues can be easily prevented with reserved seating that specifies who sits where!

🌿In my 25 years, I've travelled around 20 countries
🌿I've called England and Australia my home
🌿I've had 7 jobs ranging from babysitting, being on the show Home and Away, to working as a funeral arranger and now I've found my true vocation in life creating ceremonies for all of life's big moments
🌿I’ve spent countless hours volunteering, especially within Girlguiding and at Taronga Zoo
🌿And above all, I’ve been unbelievably lucky to have such an incredibly loving and supportive group of family and friends, who are the most important people in the world to me!
