ā Nick and I has origionally planned a big wedding with over 100 guests. As the date was getting closer we were getting increasingly nervous about the cost, the amount of people that would be watching us and the actual planning of the wedding was causing us stress, and then we found out we were pregnant with our son. We were overjoyed at the news of our little boy, and so our priorities had shifted. Even though we very much wanted to get married, planning a wedding and having our first baby , plus all the above was just too much for us - so we cancelled it.
We have known Haley for years and have always wanted her to marry us. We had a chat to her about our situation, and she suggested the option of a simple beautiful easy elopement and she let us know about her elopement team - Feelings Mutual. We met up with them all and discussed plans of possibly eloping so we could still get married before our little boy arrived. As soon as we chatted with the incredible Feelings Mutual team, we knew we wanted to go ahead and book a date to tie the knot, with just the two of us. It was perfect for us, and we were so excited for this new plan, because it was always just about the two of us anyway.
Haley, Scott, Fiona & Chris understood our vision and went above and beyond to make our wedding day the most wholesome, special, beautiful, stress free day. The planning process was absolutely seamless. Scott understood the vibe we were after better than we did ourselves and suggested the most perfect location, and he shot the most spectacular photos that we will treasure forever. Nick and I arenāt very comfortable in front of a camera and we were laughing and joking around the entire time because Scott is such a funny bloke and all round legend.
Fiona shot the most phenomenal wedding video Iāve ever seen (I might be bias because itās ours but seriously, watch it and youāll agree with me). She captured the day perfectly and we are immensely thankful to have the video to look back on. I cry every single time I watch it. She captures emotion like nobody else Iāve ever seen. During our chats and coffee catch ups getting to know more about Linda and Nath, they shared a story of how, over the years, Naths daughter Soli, would often āmarry themā at home, and pronounce them husband and wife.
A light bulb went off if in our celebrant Haleyās head and on the morning of their elopement, she invited Soli, whom she deemed theā OG Celebrantā to have the honours of announcing them again - this time FOR REAL š„°š„°š„°
It was a beautiful moment for them allā¦

Each elopement is as unique as the next. Every couple has their story, their journey & their reasons for wanting to elope. And itās almost never about money. Itās not just because itās the āmore affordableā option, that, just ends up a bonus along the way.
Amy & Nick had actually originally planned a ābig weddingā - at a venue, with 100 people, and all the bells and whistles. They were excited, but as their planning journey continued, life called them in a different direction, and they chose to take the Elopement path, and it did not dissapointā¦
āThank you to the team sooo much for yesterday, we had the most perfect day! It was honestly just perfect and we canāt thank you all enough. No words, truly. It was the best day ever and we had a divine time š„¹š„°ā¤ļø so stoked to be married, we are over the friggin moon. What a gorgeous afternoon too āļø.
Everything was perfect, absolutely perfect, even more amazing than we could have imagined š„¹
No words to describe how happy/stoked/overjoyed/grateful we feel!!!!ā

Thank you to everyone who came to help us officially launch this thing! We love being invited into such intimate and meaningful celebrations of love and weāre so grateful to be able to share our heart behind it.
Elopements are such a beautiful way to focus on what really matters: the recognition that life is simply; better together.
