Looking for ways to make your wedding day run smoothly with out any mishaps? Then you should consider a day-of wedding coordinator. That way, you could effortlessly get through your wedding day without any regrets.

WHAT IS A DAY OF WEDDING COORDINATOR?
First off, we want to say that the title of “Day-of wedding coordinator” is quite misleading. There is no way that someone, even a seasoned professional, could just show up on your wedding day and do everything how you want. You will need to meet and consult with them about month before the wedding and go through details of the wedding. This will happen a few times before the wedding.

WHAT DO THEY DO?
They are the point person of the wedding day. They are the point person for vendors, for guests and for the couple. They are also the main contact person. They work closely with you and know your plan on how the day should go. They know the timeline and schedule for all vendors and the venue. They also are the transition person. for example, they move the guest from the ceremony to cocktail hour. They move the bridesmaids from the getting ready space to getting to their spot on time. For all of the other transitions that are made on this day, the coordinator will get people moving and the agenda flowing.

I had the pleasure of helping plan this magical wedding for Sue & Jo. They wanted something unique, something that wasn’t like the “normal” wedding. During the ceremony we did a hand fasting where the guests, make a wish and place a piece of string over the couples hands and then the string is pulled to “tie the knot”.
