**** UPDATE ****
It’s been quite some time. But despite the extended social media hiatus NS Gowns & Ceremonies has been busy! In truth, those who know me personally know that I’m terrible on social media, and the last thing I want to do when I’m busy is worry about likes, follows and posting. Perhaps not the best attitude for a small business owner, but there it is.
Even so, it’s time for an update, and I’m thrilled to share the photos that some of my ceremony couples and gown brides have shared with me throughout the year. Once again, a big congratulations to all the couples I’ve married this year and to the brides who have trusted me with their gowns!
In January it will be TWO YEARS since I launched NS Gowns & Ceremonies, and I am constantly blown away by how well it’s been received. This little side hustle has evolved to compete with my day job. What a problem to have! I can’t express how appreciative I am to have been trusted by so many ceremony couples and gown brides. Also, a shout out to the many more couples and brides that I’ve had to regrettably turn away. Thank you for taking the time to consider me as your celebrant or gown designer!
But now our family is anticipating the arrival of our second baby! And it's time for me to take a break and focus on family first. My books are now closed for 2024, and I won’t be actively monitoring my usual communication channels during my extended maternity leave. But not to worry, NS Gowns & Ceremonies will be back, and I will be using this time to reflect on everything that I’ve learned and continually improve the services my little side hustle offers!

Yesterday I had the honour of officiating this magnificent SURPRISE wedding. Guests thought they where attending an engagement party, but Bobby and Amy had bigger & better ideas!

There was laughter, tears, humour, even a beautiful sand ritual. And the bride! Didn’t she look stunning!

Amy and I have known each other for years, and went to school together. So it was an absolute privilege to be trusted as her and Bobby’s celebrant. Thank you Mr & Mrs Behan! I loved every moment of your beautiful surprise wedding.

CONGRATULATIONS MR & MRS MENKINS!

Yesterday, was Craig & Kacey's Big Day! And what a day it was.
The sun made a triumphant return at just the right time. And at Mantra Mackay Harbour it was my honour to help Mr & Mrs Menkins tie the knot in a ceremony that was complete with laughs, tears and cherished family and friends.

Now these two are jetting off to New York for a much deserved honeymoon. Safe Travels!

On the weekend, I had the privilege of marrying my long time friends Kate & Simon. I was soo wrapped up in the day that I forgot to take a single photo! Let's be honest though, no photo I take could ever match the wonderful work of Vicki Miller.
