While we are open today from 8.30am to 1pm, we are closing our doors Sunday & Monday to allow our staff time to celebrate Australia Day weekend. Tuesday we are open normal trading hours.

How do you and the family celebrate Australia Day?

Since 1994, we have celebrated a public holiday marking the anniversary of the first fleet to Australia. I believe since then our celebrations have evolved further. Today I Imagine a vibrant scene filled with native Australian flowers like wattles, grevilleas and kangaroo paws in bright yellows, reds, and greens. Incorporate elements like the Australian flag, perhaps draped over a picnic blanket strewn with fresh flowers while surrounded by family and friends, being thankful for the country we call home.

We know majority of teachers are returning back to school before our kids next week and I’m sure they feel like this Koala does. I’m sure everyone that has school aged kids is thankful for the countdown. (Picture taken at Snakes Down Under - Reptile Park & Zoo in Childers.
