Thankyou for your patience over this holiday period- we have been absolutely slammed with catering opportunities in the last few months and are taking time over the next couple of days to recoup and catch our breath 😅🥵

When we posted this to our story someone (Caitlin 👀) said (not so politely 😂) “why is there a toilet so close to the kitchen?!”

For the last two years we have had the pleasure of catering for the lovely Clarendon Homes Melbourne Cup Day event at their Beresfield display selection centre 😎

If you look closely at some of these snaps, you can see the multiple different kitchen styles they have set up around the island bench! How gorgeous 😍

Hi, hello, we are very much still kicking ass behind the scenes 😎 In the blink of an eye 18 days went by and we haven’t posted 😶‍🌫️

We are so thankful to be so busy with events and catering 😇 There was a time a few years ago when we were so anxious for this to work and made a point of posting daily hoping and praying that you guys would see us and book events with us, and here we are 4 years later, radio silent for almost three weeks and still booked solid 🥹 When we started this we never could’ve imagined that we would receive so much love and support from the literal thousands of you guys! 🤯

This post was supposed to be an apology for going off grid, but instead it’s a huge ✨THANK YOU✨ to every single one of you! The day-ones, the folk who are still reaching out every minute of the day to book in with us despite the silence, the people still following us despite being inactive, fck the algorithm, if you’re reading this we love you ❤️‍🔥

Let’s get personal for a minute 🤫 There are SO many grazing businesses in the Maitland area + surrounds, so what makes Curwen & Co. any different to the next? 🤷‍♀️

I’m Chelsea, I’m 26 years old, the owner of Curwen & Co. and the person you talk to when you hit up our page 👋

I’m a qualified chef with a Certificate III & IV in Commercial Cookery, and a completed Australian Apprenticeship under my belt. I started my apprenticeship as a teenager in a small pub bistro and have since made my way into many kitchens across Newcastle, Central Coast + Hunter Valley like Foghorn Brewery, Marina Views + Bella Vista Function Centre, Cellar Door Restaurant Pokolbin, Lavenders Cafe & Imperial Maitland to name a few.

I decided early on in my apprenticeship that as soon as I had learnt everything that the establishment was willing to teach me, I would move on to gather as much knowledge as possible. My main motivation is to wake up and be (if only just slightly) better than I was the day before 🙌 So when COVID hit and I was laid off my private chef catering job, I started building this empire, and y’all followed along 🥹

Curwen & Co. operates from a council approved Commercial Kitchen right in the heart of Maitland 💘 We are a registered, approved + insured business who always, always, ALWAYS puts your safety to the highest priority- so when you buy from us, you know what you have spent your hard earned money on is not only of the freshest quality & prepared with care, but it is also hand selected by a chef with an intimate relationship with good food 🙊

I think THAT is what makes us different 🤷‍♀️

We have some pretty big pop-up events to announce over the coming weeks for the last quarter of 2024 🔥

Kicking things off with Kurri Kurri Community Services Spring Fair on 26th October 10-2 at the Kurri Kurri Sportsground 🙌 We are thinking of running our brownie boxes again, you guys keen? 🤷‍♀️
Nevertheless, we will of course have your fave burgers back on the menu and can’t wait to see y’all there 🤠

So much more TBA as soon as y’all let me catch my breath with these events 🤣❤️‍🔥

We are (thankfully) very busy with events and function catering over the next two weeks, and are still doing our best to maintain dinner delivered as often as possible for you beautiful regulars 🥹💘

We will have dinners out at from Midday Thursdays as per usual, so if you’re missing us, go over and check them out! 🤩

We are super busy (thankfully!) with events, and are doing our best to keep this part of the business up and running for you lovely regulars 🥹🤍 What a doozy of a menu we’ve got for you next Thursday! 🤩

Massaman is back 😍 Soup is a big vibe 🔥 and the cookie pie, just trust me on this 😎🍪

🔔 Extras can only be ordered when purchasing one or more main meals 🔔

This menu runs for one week only, so be quick to book in, spots are very limited now being that our new kitchen is much smaller, and we are getting much busier 🤯

Curwen & Co. is a small family business established in the Hunter Valley by qualified chef, Chelsea Curwen, alongside other silent partners. We aim to hit the portable grazing market, providing take-away options for you and your family to enjoy Curwen & Co.’s grazing boxes anywhere your heart desires. Whether it be a small savoury grazing box to take to the picnic, or a large sweet grazing box to “WOW!” your in-laws, Curwen & Co. is happy to cater for any event or dietary requirements.

What sets Curwen & Co. apart from the other Grazing businesses you see on Facebook? Well, we believe that by working together with our chef, who has relevant industry experience and qualifications, we can achieve and standard of Grazing that is not regularly seen for such a low price! We believe in great food, and spending more time with loved ones, so leave us to sort the fuss of shopping, preparing and presenting.
