The lighting of a unity candle during your wedding ceremony is a special way to symbolise your two lives joining as one.

HOW IT WORKS 👇

Traditionally there will be two candle sticks and one pillar candle to light during your ceremony.

Usually, parents or significant members from each family will light a candle stick and the couple will take their family's candle stick and light the pillar candle together.

Important things to consider during your ceremony!

✨ Do what you want to do! There are no limits to personalising your wedding.
💍 Make sure you know where the rings and vows are prior to your wedding day
😍 If you're nervous, just look at your partner whilst walking down the aisle

Funerals, Memorial Services & Celebrations of life allows people to remember and honour their loved one in a special way.

It serves as a central gathering place for family and friends to give emotional support to one another.

It encourages mourners to face the pain of their loss and express their thoughts and feelings with others experiencing the same grief.

It's important to remember that it's okay to be emotional. This just shows how much you truly cared and loved the person who has passed away. Letting your emotions out is the healthiest way to cope with this difficult time.

Are you creating a Eulogy for a loved one?

Here are 3 important tips for creating a great Eulogy

#1 Make it Personal
Eulogies are best spoken from the heart and should be as discriptive, heartfelt and original to truly capture all attending the memorial and make a positive impact on the lives around you. Even amidst the sadness of a funeral or memorial service, a great eulogy can be created and delivered to generate laughter and happiness.

#2 Search for Inspiration
Don't think you have to base your entire speech on your memories alone. Speak to others close to the person and bounce ideas off each other. This may bring forward stories that you've forgotten or include other's memories because of how they represent your loved one.

#3 Organise your Thoughts
Write down all of your thoughts! It doesn't have to be pretty but create a list or dot point so you feel less overwhelmed when starting a new document. Once complete and you have the core information, thoughts & memories, you can then gather all the information you have to create a layout for your speech.

April recap and what's coming up for Love & Life 🗓 Last month I was lucky enough to officiate my very first wedding. It was an amazing day, and whilst this photo is not from Brad and Natasha's wedding, I can't wait to share some pics with you all when I receive them!

Coming up in the next few months, I have my very first baby naming ceremony. I can wait to help a beautiful family celebrate their little boy, so stay tuned for more on that soon too.

Earlier this year Hunter Events NSW won wedding planner and coordinator of the year at the Wedding Industry Awards 🥰

I'm so proud of this achievement and know it couldn't have been made possible without our amazing couples who have trusted us with their wedding over the last 6 years.

Have you considered a sand ceremony as part of your vows?! ⏳ A sand ceremony or the blending of sand is a unique way to symbolise two lives becoming one.

This is also a great way to incorporate children or family into your wedding during the ceremony.

Generally, two vessels of sand are poured together either into a third keepsake vessel, or scattered into the wind to represent the coming together of your lives.

Another alternative is where you pour different colours of sand into a shared vessel along with significant members of your families also pouring some in. This represents the coming together of two families.

Meet Ann & Raul 💐 I had the pleasure of working with them over at Hunter Events NSW to plan and organise their wedding day late last year.

Whilst I didn't officiate their wedding, I had the privilege of hearing their story and get to know them just a little bit.

Getting to know my couples is my favourite part of the process as it allows me to step into your shoes and get a sense of your individual personalities and styles.

Before I became a qualified marriage and ceremony celebrant, I spent most of my time over the last 6 years planning and organising couples dream weddings.
