.......and that's a wrap!
13 years ago, I got a tap on the shoulder from the universe to start bringing in wedding dresses after working from home making wedding accessories. I ignored that for 6 months until getting tapped again.
A year of fumbling in the ether trying to figure out exactly how to do that, another year of growing enough lady balls to take that step, being given some amazing chances by Australian Designers to take their gowns, 3 years at home and 2 of those trying to find the perfect space to branch out to gave me 7 YEARS of exceptional love in one of the warmest of spaces.
I have loved every second and more meeting the hundreds of brides and their families. I have loved having some amazing women working with me in the boutique who pushed our little store to the highest of limits. I will forever be in debt to the love they gave my business, and one in particular who spoilt me with her character and kept my baby going, whilst I was raising my own real-life baby.
7 years, it's my most favourite of numbers, and I don't think if I had even planned it, I would have planned it to finish off on such a poignant note of, literally, to the week that we started to renovate the space, leaving her to now be a home for someone else.
I thought I would be ridiculously sad, but I'm not! I'm proud, so so proud of where this little journey began and where she ended up. By choice I close, because I have some big plans for my future that she couldn't be part of, but my past will forever have her etched into my soul.
Constantly humbled to have been able to love on you.
Good bye........... and forever and ever and ever thankful.
p.s - what does one do when they have this thing called a 'weekend'??
