Here’s my cartoon lesson for 2022 🙈

This one was fun and playful, it was good to work with some color after a while and I’m happy the way it turned out to be. This was made for a little boy who is celebrating his 5th birthday.

And what a fun way to wrap up detailed cakes for 2022 (U will still see quite a few here as I have heaps that never got posted within the last few month).

Cake - chocolate cake filled with rich chocolate buttercream, finished with coloured vanilla buttercream and fondant details.

While all that chaos, here’s my first cake from my new kitchen and absolutely loved creating this for a new mum to be for her gender reveal party.

People who knows me very well know that this typically is one of my type of cakes and doing one after a while gave me immense joy. Lovely comments from the mum to be and some guests who had attended the party was icing on the cake for me.

I was going through my phone this morning and realized that there are few cakes from June that never got posted here.

This simple yet elegant cake celebrated a big June baby in all its glory. The cake was devoured with love by everyone and my eyes have no better scenery.

Cake - Chocolate cake with coffee drizzle, filled and frosted with intense coffee buttercream, finished with a chocolate collar.

This was one of those cakes I undertook way out of my comfort zone but equally nervous and excited to make. Thankfully my client had the trust on me to deliver what her little 13 year old picked.

And here I am, I delivered it for her. Finishing a cake that your client calls stunning is the best reward for the labour of love being put towards a cake. The cake could be small or big but the effort still stands big.

This is for all you lovely bakers out there that inspires me day in and day out. Kudos and a big hug to all of you for the work you undertake simply to put a smile on another face. So much love and respect to all of you.

Thank you for trusting me with your little girls cake, I hope u enjoy the cake as much as I did making it.

Bringing you the kind of cake most of us Srilankans currently need in our lives.

My fellow Lankans might not agree of me posting about cakes here when the country is going through such ups and downs but I woke up this morning with one determination, I will try my level best to make a world a better place for me and for everyone by staying positive. Yes there’s a lot happening and while somethings look extremely positive, the next minute we are sanded by destruction and all things violent. But let’s get together and try to stay on top of it, let’s be positive and pray and hope for our paradise island to be that shining pearl of the Indian Ocean ones again. It’s our responsibility to make it happen and the change needs to start from us. The glory days are not too far away if we rally around each other with positivity to make things happen. SRI LANKA CAN… and WE WILL.

Now a bit about the cake, this cake was special cos it was made for one of the bubbliest Nangis in my life. She celebrated her 30th with this floral beauty few weeks ago. She knew she wanted this cake months before she knew she was having a party or a celebration of any sort, all she wanted was the flowers and the rest was up to me.
And I managed to pull it off to match the colour theme of her epic party. devva._ I was so thrilled to see the excitement on your face when you saw the cake.

So what better happy moment than this to be shared on a day where all of us need it in abundance.

And here’s one of my favorite cakes so far this year. Not just cos the ppl I made it for is special to me but also cos I challenged myself to go beyond my comfort zone and work with fondant.
You probably would have noticed that I’m very much a buttercream person but super happy with these little details I achieved.

The design was inspired by a picture I saw online, sadly I don’t have the details of the owner.
