This last weekend I sadly had to watch my son put to sleep his dog Gracie of 11 years! It was such a difficult moment and yet one I have had a lot of practice with! Grief is something noone wants to feel but it’s inevitable through our lives! Tammy from https://rainbowbridgepeteuthanasia.au/ made it a very peaceful and calm experience and whilst my heart broke for my son, i pulled all of my experience as a funeral celebrant to try to bring a little comfort of light in a moment of darkness! As I also run my own spiritual business, I do believe in signs and the Rainbow was definately one for my son! Firstly as we took our girl to her favourite spot one last time the clouds began to form a bridge, next as it was out of hours the company name that could come was Rainbow Bridge, and then after she had gone, my son trying to manage his grief saw a rainbow! Through his pain he was given a sign by Gracie, that she was ok and had arrived at the rainbow bridge! Signs are everywhere and whilst they are not physically present they can definately provide comfort spirituall

Today I did a road trip to perform a wedding! Well had a private chauffeur, my son lolllll Have to say, I am so professional in being able to wing many things in a calm manner 🤣 Firstly a long drive in just my casual outfit, quick stop at a corner garage to transform! Whilst the couple were so laid back, was a micro wedding, & the ceremony was in a factory of collectable cars, I still focus on giving my all in the same professional manner! Oh noooo, I left my reading glasses 😱 But at the end of the day it went well, many laughs with these two, and very pleased clients. And noone would even know I was half blind reading the ceremony so was winging most! Haaa CONGRATS TO EBONY AND ANDY ❤️🥂💙

My mum recently turned 80 and I thought I’d whip up a cake made with love! My son built the stand and I’m thinking of building my wedding business to include hire of stands etc! With a photographer son, a musician son, a son who’s exploring dj work, a daughter in law who does exclusive hand made chocolate, and hoping a sister in law who will do floristry, I think we might have the whole package lolllllll ❤️🥂❤️

This is what grief is.
A hole ripped through the very fabric of your being.
The hole eventually heals along the jagged edges that remain. It may even shrink in size.
But that hole will always be there.
A piece of you always missing.
For where there is deep grief, there was great love.
Don’t be ashamed of your grief.
Don’t judge it.
Don’t suppress it.
Don’t rush it.
Rather, acknowledge it.
Lean into it.
Listen to it.
Feel it.
Sit with it.
Sit with the pain. And remember the love.
This is where the healing will begin.

RIP to the Queen! Birth and Death are two things that will happen to us all. As a funeral celebrant I’ve found that it’s one’s life that is celebrated upon one’s death! One thing I say to my clients with wedding planning is:::: The legal part needed is actually very short so plan everything else according to your vision, personality and dreams! Many ask how does it go? What should we do? I answer, “Anything you want to.” A wedding can be traditional, funny, romantic, surprising or other! I myself was married with my favourite theme: Rainbow! Each of my five sons were the groomsmen and each of the girls matched them with a colour of the rainbow!
