Our fundamental belief is that no event template is ever ‘standard’, and no two events are ever the same. Hence, the only pragmatic solution is in conceiving

The trust that is bestowed on us as entertainment contractors by our clients, forms the foundation to our obligations in sourcing the most professional, experienced and, most importantly- ‘appropriate’ service providers.

Through both face-to-face discussions and online platform liaison, we're able to offer a completely bespoke package tailored specifically to the scale of the desired event. The range is as flexible as it is diverse:

-Live instrumental soloists
-Cocktail live bands (2 - 5 piece)
-Medium / large sized live bands (5 - 8 piece)

We have a very tight and exclusive cohort of industry leaders, who have been carefully selected as the result of years' worth of interactions. Their equipment, cooperation, professionalism and characters speak volumes.

A BIT ABOUT OUR CORE MUSICIANS:
Having done extensive research in both Greece and its neighbouring countries, Dimosthenis Manasis along with other fellow musicians, have mastered the styles and techniques which characterise their rare and usually unseen collection of traditional Greek folk instruments.

Their research includes travelling to remote and isolated villages and taking lessons from some of Greece’s most influential folk instrumentalists, as well as local musicians.
..it is due to this reason,
that the essence of their music
captivates the soul, and takes their audience on a journey back to
villages and times long forgotten...

Their repertoire consists of traditional folk music from Pontos, Thrace, Macedonia, Epirus, Central Greece, Thessaly, Peloponnese, Crete, the Islands and Asia Minor, with a certain passion for recreating “village-style atmosphere” in a modern setting.

Most of our musicians began their musical careers by playing at family functions and gatherings, and progressed to playing at weddings, festivals, corporate events, and more recently, in conjunction with some of Australia’s leading folk musicians.

The rare and prized collection of over
200 instruments, include the clarinet, zourna, flogera, violin, lyra, daouli, toumbeleki, defi, as well as the famous Macedonian and Thracian “goat-head” bagpipe, the “Gaida”.

Utilising dance and culture to build bridges and quite literally bring people together, our participation in events have opened up the opportunity to partner up with some pretty amazing organisations.

We have a special knack for a corporate approach to cultural entertainment. It's fun, but it's 100% 'on-point':
Not too detached, not in-your-face; just a perfect balance of professionalism, pleasant engagement, interaction and an overall polished and refined presence.
..and if you want an 'all-in' Zorba dance mosh-pit with your guests after our performance is over, we'll throw that in there too!

We love what we do, and everyone we interact with can't help but be drawn in by the energy, enthusiasm and passion of our crew.

It has lead us to incorporate Greek dance and culture, as well as provide Voice Over and formal Master of Ceremonies services for a variety of events, including local councils, state and federal government, AFL, NRL, A-League (Melbourne Victory), HACCI, Fronditha Care, Oinofilia Wines of the World, food expos, exhibitions, philanthropic organisations, renowned charities, red carpet promos, and so many more!

We are humbled to be hosting, presenting and assisting in Preston Market 's Latin Day Festival, on Sunday 9th November!

This free, family-friendly celebration will showcase the vibrant cultures of Latin America, ...and it's going to be a big day of fun and feasting!

Entertainment kicks off at 10am with live bands, Salsa and Zumba dancing and an irresistible Brazilian Showgirl performance you won’t want to miss!

Food lovers can enjoy a feast on delicious paella, Brazilian barbecue, sweet churros, chorizo sausages, traditional Columbian and Mexican cuisines and much more. Meanwhile, families can enjoy a great day out with a free face painting activity for all the kids to enjoy.

Wedding of Peter and Stavroula (RAW AUDIO- LIVE MUSIC. No musical overlay or backing tracks)

With a morning like this, who needs a reception?!

Peter and Stavroula's wedding was a conglomerate of Melbourne’s finest musicians. Our ‘usual crew’ entertained Peter's family and close friends at his house in the morning, whilst another cohort of fellow musicians from Anagennisi were at Stavroula's, catering to the different Greek regional backgrounds, with instrument-specific repertoires.

Melbourne put on its best Spring weather, enabling our bride to arrive at the church on foot with the entourage of bridesmaids, family, and an entourage of seven musicians!

In fact, at the church it was one big party pre- and post-ceremony, with guests all joining in on the traditional mini-glendi in the forecourt.

Sure, instead of arriving on donkeys we had a Lamborghini, but keeping true to our mantra of “a fusion of centuries-old traditions, with 21st century additions” the day couldn’t have been more accurate!

Services provided by dm- EVENTS by MANASIS included:
-Cocktail-scale live band at the Groom's house in the morning;
-Cocktail-scale live band at the Bride's house in the morning;
-Medium-scale live band upon arrival and walk / bridal procession to the church ceremony;
-Medium-scale live band for post-ceremony celebration outside the church.
-Provision of PA/AV equipment;
-Provision of flags, props, etc.

SO WHERE DO WE START?
To make things easier, we've streamlined the process for everyone!

First and foremost is the Master of Ceremonies:
Do not underestimate the significance of this role. They're the ones who set the vibe for the night, and are ultimately and 'solely' responsible for adherence to the prearranged schedule. They provide insight to both the couple and the guests, as well as formal introductions and step-by-step guidance for all contractors and service providers for the entire duration of the event.

For entertainment, we're able to supply DJ's, instrumental soloists, musicians and full bands as well as all lighting and PA / AV gear. We have a very tight, selective cohort of industry leaders, who have been carefully selected as the result of years worth of interactions. Their equipment, cooperation, professionalism and characters speak volumes.

Through our preferred suppliers and contractors, we're also able to attend to the entire catering requirement with either on-site or off-site food preparation. Customised food / beverage packages, full banquets, grazing tables, share platters, formal dining, finger food, dietary requirements... it's all now a very simple and straightforward process! It all just depends on what atmosphere you're after!

In addition, we work with some of the best prop suppliers in the state, so if the space needs to be 'dressed' with a certain theme, we'll bring them onboard too!

And as you can probably tell from our footage, we work with some of the most renowned photographers and videographers worldwide!

Celebrating culture, and reviving old customs is one of our specialities!
..centuries-old traditions, with 21st century additions!

With an extensive collection of traditional folk instruments, at the request of a client we can bring along a multitude of these rare drums (daouli / tapan / davul / toumbeleki / darabuka), and give guests the opportunity to participate by playing along to exotic rhythms.

It's amazing how much 'rhythm' people have in them, even if they've never played a beat before- it's tribal instinct!

And if they still look like they don't know what they're doing, DON'T WORRY- we'll be there to guide them!..as long as everyone is having fun!

We have a special knack for a corporate, well-polished, refined and interactive approach to cultural entertainment.

Utilising dance and culture to build bridges and quite literally bring people together, our participation in events has given us the opportunity to meet some pretty incredible people along our journey!

Some of these individuals are world-recognised, and others only known in the circles which their talents and disciplines excel. For us, it's humbling to have met them all, and it's a privilege to know that they made the time to share ideas, skill-sets and philosophies with us.

With each interaction, we have walked away having learnt something new, or having been inspired to further pursue our lifelong ambitions.

In addition to programmed and staged performances, there's always some time to take a walk around and bring the fun to the street!

Our entourage of roving entertainers include musicians and dancers who bring a very energetic flare to enhance any event, with their unique instruments and costumes!

Street festivals, multicultural days, large and small scale productions, pre-show entertainment- these guys do it all!!!
..and it's as much fun for them as it is for the audience!

...It's basically how we got into events!

From humble beginnings and the genuine belief in being able to host and present dance performances as an opportunity to highlight our students' progress, we are now quite literally the 'benchmark' in all cultural events!

Undoubtedly, some of the greatest life experiences of our youth, are those EPIC years of growing up in dance groups, ballet schools, soccer clubs and other social/sporting networks. And through those affiliations, there was always the 'major annual event' which brought the entire community together.

Relationships forged; friendships created; memories all still vivid.

With a multitude of these clubs all hosting their big annual dinner dances and presentation evenings at bigger and bigger venues each year, event coordination and management is absolutely imperative.

One of the greatest examples of these, is the MANASIS School of Greek Dance and Culture which sees hundreds upon hundreds of dance students and their families from right across the state, converge for an epic night of performances, dance and party!

Since our establishment in 1979, we have honed our skill-set and expertise, to incorporate services ranging from schedules and programming, to complete event contracting and logistics- venue, floor-plan / layout, catering, styling, decor, props, AV / lighting, audio, Master of Ceremonies, DJs, live bands, musicians, soloists, floor-shows, entertainers... and on... and on... and on...!!!
..and every year it only gets bigger!!!

Irrespective of the size of your organisation or the scale of your event, we can work with you / your team and provide guidance and support throughout the entire process, or, we'll take care of the entire project and ensure an event inclusive of all preferences, requirements and expectations...and then we're sure we'll exceed those too!
