Our AUSTRALIANA class last Thursday was a huge success with learners using a mix of vibrant and seasonal native and non-native flowers. The designs were constructed to capture the essence of early Spring! ENJOY a few photos that Sharon captured at the end of the session ☺️

We have a gorgeous selection of natives in for tomorrow nights class …including some blushing bride and leucospermum!!!!

The beautiful group are also assisting me to deliver a “Design and Delivery Assessment” so we will be running the session slightly differently … wish us luck and pray to the gods that my Zoom connection cooperates!!!

Big plans!!!

If you are following for a while, you will know that I’ve been working hard on combining both my skills as a Floral Designer and as an Educator

My floristry business continues to be one of my favourite children and I pour endless amounts of love and support into her as my only “daughter” and will continue to nourish her soul and mine with beautiful bespoke floristry work and rockstar customer service 🥰

We’re sort of in the young adult era now so there’s been lots of change in the past few years; from sending her off out into the unknown world of retail, moving her home for a bit and now her wings are flapping again and she’s moving into a beautiful new space on Gloucester Avenue in Berwick - her “studio era” shall we call it

The Education side of Floristry has become a large focus since starting my TAE course at Chisholm this year and I am super excited to have this brand new space (that we are currently fitting out) to offer Short Courses, Workshops and other Events that will complement my vision.

Stay tuned for more information soon and in the meantime if you or anyone you know is keen to explore Floristry as a career change or if you are self taught with a need to brush up on some industry knowledge and skills combined with mentoring, please get in touch!

I’m also very keen to share this vision with young school leavers who aren’t really sure what path they’re on just yet .. a short course with Berwick School of Floristry might be something to consider!

Our little flower school family has been shocked and saddened.

Mystery Box Challenge

Recipe 1
1 x bunch white oriental lillies
1 x bunch swan flower
1 x bunch light pink chrysanthemum
1 x bunch magnolia lil gem

Swop/trade - 2 x stems lemon stock

Karen brought a Fishbowl vase to work with and chose chicken wire for her mechanics. She made this challenge look easy!!

Karen and the flowers made a road trip the morning after class so she could enjoy them while she’s away .. beautiful work Karen 👏🏻

Students had a wonderful opportunity to do some floristry today in a “real world setting”

We made up 16 beautiful vase arrangements and a presentation bouquet for tomorrow’s Morning Tea event at Lifestyle Officer in aid of Cancer Council

A few of us are attending the event so we’ll share some photos of the set up tomorrow

Classes are fortnightly on Tuesday nights 7-9pm and cost $75. All materials are included and everyone takes home their own design
