I'm not a person to so easily step out of my comfort zone but I had nothing to lose and so much more to gain if I didn't try.
That's all any small business is out here doing. Giving it a go, giving it a real crack in the hope that we find something that we succeed at and ultimately fills our cup.

For me this idea first came to me when I found that everytime I had one of my kids birthdays or special events I wanted to style it with props balloons etc and make it look 'nice' lol so I would spend money paying someone to decorate and spend money on hiring props.
Then the pandemic hit in Melbourne. My husband was looking for a new job and I was pregnant about to give birth with our 2nd child. I wanted to keep myself busy as well as try and contribute to the household expenses.
Now Ive always liked nice things, wanted my stuff to look 'nice' and had a creative streak in me so as long as I can remember I've loved to diy and just create things especially arts and crafts.
And I thought back to a lady I hired these props off for one of my kids events and she told me she got into the event business herself from home as she too was spending money hiring other people's props etc to style her kids birthday parties etc.
So I did some research started following all the big guns in the industry, did a balloon course and thats where i started.
I would like one day in the future to go back to vet nursing but thay wont happen for a while cos we just had our third and final boy so ill be a stay at home for a few years longer 😅😅
I'm obviously still very new to this industry and I honestly don't know where it's going to go, and if I'll still be doing it in 5 years, 1 years time, but for now I'm eager to learn and grow as a up and coming small business and just do something for ME that i can enjoy and hopefully money from. Being a stay at home mum you dont get much time for yourself, to yourself so this is my thing, my creative outlet that hopefully brings peoples partyies to life cos what is life without celebrating and enjoying what life has to offer!
