This is a special surprise for a mother who recently lost her son. Initially, I planned to create an artwork using various mediums, but the hydrangeas that were selected turned out to be so stunning on their own. I didn’t want to overwhelm the natural beauty of the flowers, so we chose to let them shine without overdoing it.

This keeps the message thoughtful and focused on the delicate balance of honouring both the flowers and the sentiment.

What an incredible journey this has been. Creating this piece flowed through me like second nature, yet it pulled me into an intense storm of emotions. There were moments I couldn’t hold back the tears, overwhelmed by the depth of what I wanted to express. I poured my heart into it, wanting to give so much more. My hope is that this reminds us all of our shared humanity. At our core, we all crave the same things—to be happy, to feel safe. So I’m begging you, be kind to one another. If we can’t show kindness, we fail—not just ourselves, but each other. Let’s not let that happen. Choose kindness, always.

The wedding bouquet is transformed into a captivating sphere and a quirky pill-shaped trinket. Despite my past battles with spheres, I'm determined to crack the code. The tiny opening makes it a tricky endeavour, often veering away from my artistic vision. Pouring the resin blind, working upside down, adds an extra layer of mystery to the outcome. But I thrive on creative challenges. With a bit more playful experimentation, I'll perfect it. I'm confident in my artistic flair—I've totally got this.

Creating this piece was an absolute joy, allowing me the freedom to explore and play. It holds a unique significance, crafted from my client's wedding flowers to form her daughter's name plaque. The ring holder, containing her daughter's first haircut, adds an extra layer of sentiment. This work encapsulates a moment suspended in time, forever cherished.

I am extremely proud of this work. The beautiful, precious baby bellybutton is perfectly preserved in this divine pyramid art. It's positioned exactly how I envisioned it. I'm so happy with the result.
