Can you believe that SIX months of the year have already passed? 😱 As my wedding season slows down, I wanted to share some great and random things I found in my camera roll that made me LOL and I hope you get a giggle or a smile from them too 🥰

Last week I headed to Sydney for celebrant conference and it was bloody amazing! 🤩

There were hugs, laughter and tears. I learnt something from every single speaker and I left with a full heart. A head swimming with new fresh ideas and a new appreciation for the job that I LOVE 🥰

Being a celebrant can be quite lonely. You do everything behind the scenes and we still always get undervalued by the work we do. But that’s ok. Because I know I have a flock of flamingoes aka celebrants to lean on.

A big thanks to & for sharing in our boujee accom and keeping me in fits of laughter.

And a MASSIVE KUDOS to & for their hard work and dedication to making this the best every. And to every speaker that worked tirelessly to create such a safe and welcoming community for us all to be vulnerable.. thank you!

KIANNA & AARON //

The Twilight movies have been a big part of Kianna & Aaron’s relationship, so obviously I had to sneak a quote into their ceremony.

And it went a little something like this…

“To Kianna, Aaron stood out…
Sure, he doesn’t sparkle in the sun or run through forests at inhuman speeds — but there were three things she was absolutely certain of:

One, Aaron is kind and caring.
Two, there was something about him that was unlike any other guy she’d ever met… and he didn’t annoy her every five seconds (which, let’s be real, has definitely changed — Aaron is a fu***ng pest).
And three, after spending time together, she found herself unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.”

This is the kind of stuff I love adding into ceremonies — little pop culture gems that actually mean something to you two.

So if you’re into vampires, wizards, superheroes or even The Office… I want to hear about it. Because your ceremony should sound like you — not like dull, standard script.

MARRIED LOBSTERS //

One of the best things about my job is seeing past Marry Us Mich couples at weddings 😍

And the best part is that no two weddings are the same!

Bec & Josh had a full ceremony with wedding party intros and a wedding with all their fave people, at a venue with a tattoo artist and danced all night long! 💃🏻

Sean & Jess got hitched in the party room at Macca’s while eating cheeseburgers and nugs with their kids and parents 🍟

But the common factor was lil’ old me 🥰 they both got married their way and both weddings will be remembered as some of my faves! (Especially cos I got inked at Bec & Josh’s haha)

Catch Me and Be Mine? 💫

Rach & Jake were feeling the moment as they walked back down the aisle, officially married! So, naturally, they went for a romantic mid-aisle dip kiss… except gravity said “not today.” 🤣 and Jake lost his footing for a second!

Luckily, they took the tumble like absolute legends—laughing it off and soaking up every second of their best day ever. And honestly? It just made for the best wedding photos. 📸🔥

Because real love isn’t about perfection—it’s about laughing through the unexpected (even if that means literally hitting the ground together). 💕😂

💍🍭 Rings… but make it SWEET! 😂✨

Keana & Aaron’s ceremony had everything—love, laughter, and some sugar!

Their mate Shorty had the honour of bringing up the rings… but with a twist! Instead of the real deal, he first presented them with two Ring Pops 🍭💎 and even got down on one knee for the full effect! 🤣👏

Cue the laughs, the “WTF?!” moment, and then, finally, the actual rings made their grand entrance.

I love when couples add this kind of personality to their ceremony—because weddings should be fun, right?! 🥂💫

💍✍️ Alex & Jack's EXTRA special ceremony + a meat tray winner! ✨

Alex & Jack did things their way, and I was so here for it!

Instead of me telling their love story, they got someone who knows them inside out (and has enough dirt to roast them properly)—Alex’s brother, James! 😂🔥

As their celebrant, I was still there to make things official, but if you’ve ever thought, “We’d love a loved one to share our story instead”—guess what? We can totally co-pilot your ceremony together. 🙌

They also decided to play a little witness lotto where two of their guests were chosen at random to sign their papers + a runner up... to win a meat tray!
