A lot happened in 2025, both professionally and personally. The last 12 months saw me:
🫶 Deadlifting 160kgs and chest pressing 62kgs
🫶Marry 64 beautiful couples including my sister and cousin 🥰
🫶Mentor 5 wedding vendors for MCing
🫶 Become admin assistant to a few wedding vendors
🫶Hit 6 years as a celebrant
🫶Party with my fave wedding vendors
🫶Watch our ice hockey team win the cup
🫶Shower my sister and bro in law then became a ZIA!
🫶Watch multiple couples kiss… bring on more kissing in 2026!
🫶Dead dance with mother mayhem Lady Gaga
… Oh and I got engaged 💍
Thank you to every couple who trusted me with their biggest day; to tell their love stories with joy and excitement, to happy ugly cry with them as they walked down the aisle or said their vows, and for trusting me with their dress bustling emergencies.
I’m here for the ceremonies that made people say, “I’ve never laughed and cried so much in my life.” And becoming “not just a celebrant,” but a hype girl, umbrella holder, bartender, therapist, emotional support human and third wheeling bestie.
But this year also had it’s negatives. This year also saw me:
🙅🏻♀️Fight off multiple sicknesses
🙅🏻♀️Suffer through crippling anxiety
🙅🏻♀️Deal with financial stress and worries
🙅🏻♀️Hermit inside for a while
🙅🏻♀️Put all my energy into the upcoming weddings and then have nothing to give the next day
🙅🏻♀️Lose my s**t at least once a day
So here’s to me 🥳👏🏻
For choosing heart over perfect.
For showing up again and again, even when I was tired, even when it was hard, even when I couldn’t give anymore but tried anyway. And thank you to those who supported me through it. Checked in when they could. I love you.
Bring on 2026. The year of the shed is over. Time to run free with the fire horse 🐎 ✌🏻
