QVWC and Mother Tongue Poetry present Women of Fire as part of Melbourne Fringe Festival.
This one-off special event celebrates the powerful voices of women and gender diverse individuals who identify as women. The evening will feature a curated lineup of some of Melbourne's most inspiring voices.
Five passionate poets, including Fleassy Malay, and Sevgi Boga, will take the stage, sharing their lived experience while you soak up the magic, leaving you inspired and energised.

WOMEN* NOW reflects the current moment. It’s a call to a feminist future and for women* to hold space, be seen, heard and valued equally.
Our Birnbeal exhibition space will be bursting with feminist artworks from over 50 artists, makers and designers. Most artwork will be for sale at affordable prices!
The exhibition opens Thursday 7 December 2023 until Thursday 25 January 2024, Mon-Fri 9AM-5PM.

Natalie Hutchins MP launched the artwork alongside the Ngardang Girri Kalat Mimini Artists.
The forecourt garden will be open during the Centre hours Mon-Fri 9AM-5PM. Visit and scan the QR code to listen to audio recordings by each of the Artist's while viewing this striking artwork.
The Queen Victoria Women's Centre will unveil Creative Resilience this Saturday!
Visit the Centre from next week to see this inspiring 4.5mt work created by Ngardang Girri Kalat Mimini (NGKM), a collective of First Nations women and trans diverse artists from across Victoria. The forecourt will be open during Centre hours Mon-Fri 9AM-5PM.
The commission has been funded through the Victorian Women’s Public Art program (VWPA) with Regional Arts Victoria. The VWPA supports the development of permanent public art to examine the significant and diverse contributions women have made to Victoria and to share those stories with the broader community.

‘Mum’s the Word’ is a glittering line-up of writers, performers and musicians waxing lyrical on the maternal figures that take centre stage in their lives. Hosted by the one and only Jan Fran, this honest and cathartic night of storytelling, song and reflection will take place at The Edge, Fed Square from 7-9.30pm on Saturday 4 March.
QVWC SHOP is a feminist design store showcasing more than 150 Women and non-binary artists, makers and designers from across Victoria.
