Today, I went to Bendigo to see the beautiful Rani + Tim, to get their paperwork filled out, to marry the heck out of them next year, at

I’ve known Rani since she was a wee young lass, I taught her singing back in Deniliquin, and she’s always been like family to me.

Met Tim today, and he fits our crazy, and I love it!

Almost 20 years of loving this gorgeous woman and now I get to marry her, to the man of her dreams!

My favourite part! When I get to get together with my couples and sign the NOIM [Notice of Intended Marriage form].

Tammy is a fellow celebrant, and I was lucky enough many moons again, to witness her very first wedding ceremony, so when she met the man of her life, she asked me to marry them 😍 Such an honour when a fellow celebrant trusts you to marry them!

Bring on the 12 April next year! I cannot wait! I'm marrying them, playing some acoustic tunes and then MCing the heck out of their wedding night... might have a few tequlias with Ladell! hehehe

This way, on the day, you get to hear what you both think/feel/remember about each other, and all those key moments.

These two legends saw me at a wedding last year, and told me at the time, they MUST have me at their wedding.

Fast forward a few months, they reach out and I was booked for their original date. I decided to be a little ballsy and suggest if they weren’t ‘set’ on that date, I had free dates in May.

GUESS WHAT?!? They changed their date AND venue so they could have little old me 🥹

I cannot tell you how this made me feel. My heart burst, and a few tears shed.

In my career I’ve had a handful of clients who have done this for me, and for someone who can often fight imposter syndrome, this helps break through this.

So, last night, I got to marry these two bloody AWESOME humans at the gorgeous , who have the BEST staff and FOOD and VIEWS!

They were photographed by the gorgeous and they trusted me to:

- DJ all the most amazing country music and bangers

I love these two so much, so honoured they trusted me to do so many key moments, and I would do it all again for them.

Hi, my name is Kel, and thought I’d finally formally introduce myself to you all.

I am not new to the wedding world, you might recognise me from my other business .entertainment where I’ve spent 20 years putting your wedding soundtrack together, and MCing your wedding like we’ve known each other for years.

Last year, I became a celebrant, because I wanted to show the world, you didn’t need a ‘nice’ or ‘so so’ ceremony.

The first time I saw .melbournecelebrant back in 2018 [I think] she married the beautiful .russo_sayers and Billy, and it was the first time I saw a celebrant make a ceremony AMAZING… and made me see what was missing. Then other celes I saw, like and they cemented the fact I needed to bring ‘Kel’ energy to ceremonies.

So here I am!

I will be married myself 14 years this year and love being married, like really love it. My husband is my biggest supporter!

I have 2 beautiful daughters [Khloe and Kordelia], and a black pug, his name is Frank.

I’m stepping back a little from DJing and focusing more on marrying awesome people and doing acoustic tunes.

I’ve not made this decision lightly, but with my girls growing up so quickly, my priorities have changed a little.

Not saying I won’t ever DJ again, but I’m only doing a small amount of DJ gigs a year now.

I love marrying people, it brings me so much joy!

I had some major health issues which almost caused me to not be able to marry these two legends [I had the fabulous Candice from ready to back me up] BUT I did it, and only told Mandy + Matt afterwards [as I had to hitch and ditch] and they were so loving, compassionate and forgiving I couldn’t hang around for a drink and pizza.

THIS is why it’s so important we all vibe.

This man, 15 years ago, drove 3 hours from Melb to Deni [Deniliquin is my home town] and from that day, I knew he was my forever person.

I believe in love, I believe in marriage, I believe in him.

When I told him I wanted to be a celebrant, he told me ‘stop talking about it and do it.’

He tells me all the time I have this ‘calm’ about me, that I will make anyone in my company feel safe. I think he is right, but it’s taken me WAY too many years, but I finally believe him.

When you choose your ‘forever’ person, they should be the person who never makes you cry on purpose x

I’m sitting in bed, feeling sorry for myself as I drank this protein drink which is meant to be good for you, but all it’s done is given me a very sore, bloated tummy, bringing me no joy or happiness.
