With peony season just around the corner, our tip is to snip the peony while it’s still in bud and shake it gently just in case there are any little ants living inside. Peonies provide food for ants and in turn, the ants protect the blossoms from other floral-feeding insects!

Carnations often get a bad rap for being 'outdated' or 'daggy' but when they look like this we love them 🥰

Carnations are one of the longest lasting flowers when properly cared for.
Remember to regularly change the water, trim the stems and make sure no leaves are below the waterline of the vase.

🌿Flower care tips:
Discard any blooms that are past their prime
Trim the stems on an angle, this gives the stem more surface area to absorb water from
Change the water every 1-2 days - as the saying goes, if you wouldn’t drink it, neither should the flowers!
Keep your blooms away from heat sources and out of the path of air conditioners
Enjoy your blooms!

To minimize waste we don't like to keep a lot of flowers on hand so we source blooms fresh daily. Having a cut off the night before allows us to only purchase what we need 💚

Calla or Arum lillies can make a beautiful addition to wedding bouquets or table arrangements. When cared for properly they can last for up to 2 weeks in a vase, but remember to be careful as lillies are toxic to cats and dogs 💚

To give your flowers more X-factor, you can use a technique called ‘reflexing’

Reflexing can be done on certain flowers such as roses and tulips, and adds more volume and WOW to arrangements.

Start at the base of each petal, gently push in so the rest of the petal unfurls - kind of like popping the petal inside out.

Do this to each petal and all of a sudden you have a new flower!

Their plant-based, compostable packing allows us to keep your arrangement hydrated while we deliver it to your doorstep. Once you have the flowers in your hand all you have to do is remove the packaging, stick it in your compost/garden and place your flowers in a vase of fresh, clean water 💐
