💥💥💥 I feel bad for the people who put effort into making a "SWEET COMPLAIN" 😊 to Wyndham Council that "The Bengal Platter is running their business illegally!" Unfortunately, their effort has been wasted! They think everybody is just like them, looking for quick fame without making any effort! They only see the pictures but don't read the captions!

I hope they read at least this one!

We have never done anything or will not do anything inappropriate. Thanks a lot, Wyndham Council, for informing us and always guiding us on how to run our business correctly!

Thanks to everyone who loved and encouraged us to continue our work!

For the past three months, we have been unable to offer our weekly meal service as we have been booked with catering orders.
Our temporary closure is a much-needed break to enhance our service! We'll be back with more delicious meals.

During my break, I will be active on social media with my food stories and recipes! No matter what, I will keep in touch with my Foodie community😊

চোরের ওপর রাগ করে মাটিতে ভাত নাখেয়ে চুরি, থুড়ি ডাকাতি, বর্বরতা বন্ধ করার উপায় বারকরি সবাই!


I won't be ashamed to celebrate Durga Pujo this year and in the upcoming years! And let me tell you why!
Like many of you, I was super proud to say that " I grew up in Kolkata, the safest city in the country for girls, but the horrific incident of last week shook me up. But I fail to understand why we deny our previous accomplishments earned by our elders and their sacrifices whenever some social disaster happens in our current society. May it be to celebrate our Independence Day and now Durga Pujo! Our home is not secure anymore, and our girls are not safe in our city because of the perverts, "They don't HAVE FEAR OF PUNISHMENT, FEAR OF THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR ACTIONS, AND HERE WE FAILED AS A SOCIETY ".
But that does not mean we won't celebrate her existence, her homecoming! On the contrary, I will count the days for her "HOMECOMING AND CELEBRATE HER PRESENCE. "

Let them know that they can break my daughter's bone and burn them, but she is and will be alive! Let them know, "Be careful; she destroyed you earlier; she will destroy you again and again!
Of course, I don't want to include perverts and their supporters in my celebration in any way! BUT, I WILL CELEBRATE MY daughter Uma and my Maa Durga!

স্মৃতির খাতা থেকে -

এখানে শীত প্রবল,রুঢ়, তাই আমার এখানে শীত আসবে ভেবেই কষ্ট হয়! কিন্তু স্মৃতির খাতার কোন পাতা কখন,কেন হঠাৎ করে খোলে আমরা কেউ জানিনা! গত দুমাস ধরে দেশে সবাই যখন শীতের আমেজ আর আনন্দে মেতে উঠেছে, সামাজিক মাধ্যমে নানারকমের পোস্ট দেখতে দেখেতে, আমারও দেশের শীতের আমেজের দিনগুলো মনে পড়ে গেলো!

পালংশাক, ফুলকপি, গাজর, মটরশুঁটি, মুলো, পেঁয়াজকলি এইসব সবজি উঁকি মারতো বাবার শীতের বাজারের থলিতে! মা রান্নাঘরে বসে এক কাপ ধোঁয়া ওঠা চায়ের কাপে চুমুক দিতে দিতে সবজি কাটতেন! আমাদের রান্নাঘরের জানলা দিয়ে সকালের মিঠে রোদ এসে পরে রান্নাঘরের মেঝেতে, চাদরটা জরিয়ে নিয়ে আমিও মার সাথে বসে চা খেতে খেতে এটা ওটা কথা বলতাম, তারপর যে যার কাজে বেরিয়ে পরতাম। দুপুরে বাড়ি ফিরে খাবার পাত এক একদিন এক রকমের শীতের পদ দিয়ে সাজিয়ে দিতো মা, এখনো তাই করেন। যেদিন শীষ -পালং বা পালং শীষের তরকারি হতো,সেদিন মনেহয় আমরা সবাই একটু বেশিই ভাত খেতাম 😊
স্মৃতির পাতা উল্টালো আর আমার ইচ্ছে করলো পালং শীষের তরকারি খেতে!

আমাদের এখানে এখন গ্রীষ্মকাল, যদিও এখানে সারা বছর পালংশাক পাওয়া যায়, তবে শীষপালং এখানে পাইনা, কিন্তু জানিনা কেন বাজার থেকে হঠাৎ করে পানংশাক ও উধাও! অতএব, baby spinach আর মটর ডালের বড়া দিয়ে বানিয়েছিলাম পালংশাকের তরকারি বা ঘণ্ট!
