Chef Ricky Gopinath is an acclaimed culinary expert who has spent over two decades in the food industry, crafting dishes that are a perfect blend of innovation and tradition.
Born and raised in India, Chef Ricky was introduced to the world of food at an early age, watching his mother and grandmother cook traditional Indian meals in their home kitchen.
Chef Ricky co-creates with you to provide wholesome nutrias foods-whether it is vegetarian, vegan, meat, or various specialised cuisines to meet the client's needs. His passion for cooking led him to pursue formal culinary training at the prestigious Osmania University in India, where he honed his skills and developed a unique style of cooking that is heavily influenced by his Indian heritage. After completing his education, Chef Ricky began his career at some of the most renowned hotels like The Taj Group and JW Marriot in India. After moving to Australia in 2005, He quickly gained a reputation for his exceptional culinary skills and innovative approach to cooking, which often incorporates unexpected flavors and textures.
Chef Ricky has also been recognized for his commitment to sustainability and locally sourced ingredients. He works closely with local farmers and producers to create dishes that showcase the best of what the region has to offer while minimizing waste and environmental impact.
Throughout his career in Australia, Chef Ricky has been part of several cafe startups and worked at major events such as Aus-Open, the Melbourne cup, and the AFL Grand final. He has successfully catered for groups ranging from 50-500 people. Today, he does specialised retreat catering for a wide range of groups from meditation, Yoga, breath work and-martial arts, promoting healthy food, where he continues to inspire diners with his creative and delicious cuisine.
