Perhaps I’ve gone too literal with the song choice, but how can I not 😆 I do feel like I’m saying goodbye to a friend!

Our website has been one of the best things to happen to Joyful Blooms. It created an easy shopping experience for our customers and helped me to keep on top of all of the orders coming through! It also gave me the opportunity to create a ‘build your own gift box’ section on the website… which was such a fun concept!
Gone were the days of selling through insta with multiple people writing ‘SOLD’ on a post, and then me having to navigate through all of the DMs, letting people know that they had unfortunately missed out.

Like everything in our inflated world at the moment, the cost of running a business has also increased… but sales haven’t necessarily increased to support this. I am also busy being a first time mum so haven’t had the time to really drive this little business. I’ve identified that the cost of running our website isn’t worth it, so returning to our roots of selling through Instagram is where I have landed.

C O N F E T T I 🎉

Hydrangea confetti to be exact!
We have always stocked ‘floral confetti’ in our range, which is a mix of different flowers. We aim for ‘zero waste’ so all flower offcuts are collected and packaged up into floral confetti bags. Our lovely customers purchase these and use them for all types of things… craft, gifting, parties, balloons, Christmas decorations, etc.

We however have always sprinkled a little bit of Hydrangea confetti into the post boxes for our Petite Mini orders, and the other day I thought to myself ‘gosh this looks so pretty… why have I never thought to sell it!?’.
So I’ve packaged up a small quantity of bags and they are now available on the website.

The Hydrangea confetti includes every colour under the sun ☀️ it’s a floral exploration of colour, and it definitely brings a lot of JOY!

I know it’s Tuesday, but how was your weekend?

I spent mine moving a 4 bedroom house and flower studio… which was utterly exhausting! BUT we are set up in our new space (almost 😆) and it won’t be long before I am adding new arrivals to the website.

A R T I F I C I A L 🌸

When I first started Joyful Blooms three years ago, I never used artificial flowers in my arrangements… I couldn’t bring myself to! It felt wrong mixing artificial with preserved.
However as the years have gone on I have started introducing them as a statement piece.

Why?
Sometimes with dried and preserved flowers you’re unable to find that true statement bloom to give the arrangement an extra special touch.
Dried banksias are a classic statement flower used in many everlasting arrangements, but you can’t possibly use Banksias every single time! How boring.

So the only answer was artificial! When I do occasionally use these flowers, they are of the highest quality. Just like these artifice Billy Buttons in soft Peach and N**e 🤍

M I S S I N G I N A C T I O N 🙋🏼‍♀️

I’m still here! But I’ve had quite a bit going on lately so unfortunately haven’t had the time to post quite as often as I usually do.

The website is also looking low on arrangements, for the same reason as above.

This Friday I’ll be closing the website for a short break (approx 1 week) so if you’re wanting to snap up any of the blooms that are available, or a gift box, then please place your order before 5pm Thursday 9th March.
