Good morning Everyone!

Hope all enjoyed the long weekend and are staying safe 😊

Even though its been a while, we thought it’s appropriate to give a final update on what had happened previously since it was handled publicly on social media, and to also give clarifications to our customers who have come across our post.

Without going into finer details: On the 29th January we made an arrangement, an amount was offered as a compensation and was accepted, a legal document was signed and that the amount given will settle the whole dispute, both sides agreed and was satisfied with the outcome.
The other party who made the allegations still refused to meet or speak directly to us but preferred being on social media, we were prepared and waited for further actions but none was taken.

We know this was settled a while ago and we could have given an update straight away but after the meeting we decided to leave the post the way it is.
We left it because we were at peace with the outcome- despite what has been said and what people believe, not everything on social media is true, as the faasamoa saying goes “Ua nao le Atua e iloa le tala mo’i”.

We want to give a big thank you to everyone who genuinely reached out to us, sent encouraging messages, gave us advice and helped us through that tough time. Also to those who were willing to resolve this issue in a proper manner, thank you.

It wasn’t easy but all glory to God for His grace that we stayed humbled and move forward. It will strengthen us, we will learn from this experience and do much better in the future.

We weren't able to comment directly on your post so we will reply and share here on our page publicly.

First we would like to deeply apologize for how you feel with our service at your nieces wedding.

We understand greatly the importance of food especially at weddings and funerals for our island community, it's why we alway meet face to face with our clients and discuss all details.
Which in this case we did, Menorah and Alo had a lovely meeting with both parents from each side of the bride and groom-

With all do respect any business always has its lows, we always believe customers feedback is alway right, we accept our mistakes, know how to put our head down and learn.

But accepting our mistakes doesn't mean we were always in the wrong- there are always two sides to every situation so I'm going to humbly address some of the pointers you have advised-

No plates: It is normal protocol for any catering business to provide its own plates, it's common sense. But during our meeting with the parents they said and confirmed they have already paid the decor team to provide the plates, cutleries and glassware so we don’t require to provide them.

Not enough drinks: We made it clear to the parents the drinks we provide are ONLY for the food when it's served, not for the whole reception service from beginning to end.
The day was really hot and the reception did start late so many people came ask for drinks but we only came prepared for the number of guests plus extras for the cater itself.

Not enough food: You are right the family did pay for 350 people and it did cost 14k.
We can agree to disagree on this one- I can thoroughly explain and give more reasons what you have stated is incorrect but we prefer discussing further with the parents. We always over prepare our food and we definitely had enough to feed 400 people but we all agreed with the parents there wasn't enough food at the end as we all saw the numbers looked as if there were more than what was expected. Both parents agreed.

Now of course your going to disagree but we not making this reply or post to resolve this matter or argue back to you as we never met nor do we have to explain ourselves to you, this is something we are open to discussion with the parents whom we organised this with and they have the right information.

Like yourself we also have a list to defend ourselves and prove our rights, we have many who can testify and also agree on our end but this post is not about that- which leads me to clearly state this;

It's been over 24 hours since the event and we have not heard back from any parents. The last time we had contact was before we left- they apologised for the misunderstanding, especially Fatima who was quick at giving us a hug and kiss, we left in good terms because all errors that occurred were all covered in the meeting prior to the wedding.

They never mention anything about a refund or being compensated so we don't need to call them. And because no such thing has been mentioned we have not made a statement to say that we will not give back money - we are happy and open to any discussion, they have our numbers to contact us.

Because of your post we did try contacting Fatima but she won't answer our calls.

But we just got off the phone with the grooms parents and they are happy, they are satisfied and did not say such things.

We truly understand how it feels and understand the disappointment but it's unfortunate that it has to be addressed like this because we didn't have a fair chance to explain or have a talk with the families if they weren't satisfied.

We have catered plenty events with double the numbers of guest, we have many years of experience so to say we didn't feed up to 60% of 350 guests? thats impossible, and the parents know for a fact. To give warnings or threaten us to make it seem like we are cruel fraud dishonest people based on feelings and emotions or what has been said amongst your families but not knowing the full information- it's all not true.

We are embarrassed and humiliated. It's never our intention to make our clients upset, there is alway an explanation to everything- also there may have been a disagreement on both sides at the time of the event that did not involve us but it seems that we are the easy target to be blamed and we are taking the fault for it -

It only takes one little match stick to lit up a whole fire and spread so quickly. Its the people we had dealt with directly at the event and had the meeting with will know what really did happen, everyone else we never met or spoken to only knows what happens outside of the kitchen.

You mentioned you had more listed, feel free to let us know directly - we sincerely do apologise, we know our explanation won't take back your niece's special day.

We will wait for the parents to contact us and discuss further with them.
