Happy birthday, Batgirl! Today marks Barbara Gordon’s birthday… so I guess it’s Oracle’s birthday as well. Batgirl made her debut simultaneously in the third season of Adam West’s Batman as well as in the comic books. She is ranked by as 17th in their Top 100 Superheroes. She’s gone through quite a lot in her life, from token female sidekick to highly skilled, independent superhero to disabled advisor and tech advisor to her newest incarnation, commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department. In her history, she has encountered everyone from Joker and Harley to Darkseid and Punchline. I think a lot of people still think of her as a sidekick, and she is far more than that.

And since she’s a bat, here’s my countdown post for today! 38 days until Halloween! 🦇

My pirate version may make one last joking appearance to celebrate her birthday. 😉

Vampirella is today’s princess. 😊💗 Did you know she was a princess on Drakulon? She had major struggles justifying her privileged life, knowing that so many people on her planet were starving. She’s really not bad. She’s just drawn that way. 😄 Seriously, though… I’ve bought the patterns that I will be Frankensteining to make her pink satin gown. Yes, more cosplans!!!
