Our Friends of Eltham Locals initiative gives grassroots not-for-profit organisations and fundraising appeals an opportunity to raise funds and/or awareness for their cause via a stall space that we donate for free.

We hope that our market becomes a platform for our community groups to thrive, and for our community to get involved to make a better world one cause at a time.

You'll recognise our third and final Young Maker - Love it & Wear it by Amalia!

Amalia is a 10yo beaded jewellery maker, who was one of our first Young Makers back in August! She has been working hard over the last few months to offer new and exciting designs at our Christmas Market.

Our next Young Makers are Cameron and Stella, with their stall White Jewelz!

Cameron and Stella write:
"We are year 7 students who have been friends since primary school. With a love of creating, we have started our business of making jewellery.

We work with a range of materials including polymer clay, glass jars and cabochon. We have just introduced lanyards to our stock, just in time for Christmas and year end teacher gifts."

Our Young Makers initiative gives school-aged crafters and makers an opportunity to see what it's like to run a stall at a real market! We provide a small table and table cloth, and our Young Makers supply the handmade wares to sell.

It's a great chance to see if they enjoy doing markets, road test their systems and merchandise, learn about pricing and balancing the books, and meet other Young Makers around their age.

We have three awesome Young Makers at our Christmas Market, who I'll shine the spotlight on in the next few posts 🦋
