Merry Xmas 2025!!!

I am incredibly blessed that as a celebrant I am amongst a community of peers who are super inclusive and down for a good time!

Thanks to for initiating another end of year gathering of wedding folks to connect and catch up.
I love seeing all the beautiful familiar faces, to have a chat and a hug in person. This year I brought along my Chinese celebrant mentor who also heads and Mona is the Mama bear/Aunty of the Asian wedding vendors in Melbourne, and it was so wonderful for her to connect with some of the other creative magic makers in the Melbourne wedding scene.

And then last night I brought my family along to the end of year dinner. Another super cute bunch of wedding creatives that I am lucky to be a part of.

Looking forward to manifesting some wonderful weddings, events and projects into 2026, the year of the Fire Horse!!!

A delightful end of year gathering for this group of passionate Chinese cultural educators.

This year, the wonderful invited me, along with some other talented Chinese wedding vendors, to join

We have been tasked to bring the magic of Chinese shadow puppet shows along with other Chinese cultural workshops into schools all over Melbourne.

I have loved learning to master the ancient art of Chinese Shadow puppetry and performing the classic fables of Monkey King's 'Journey to the West', 'The Great Race of the 12 Chinese Zodiacs' and also 'Lady in the Moon'.

Growing up as a Shanghainese/Australian I was not taught to celebrate Chinese culture. Now as a mother I am keen to reconnect with my roots in order to educate my children and instill some knowledge and pride in their cultural identity. My children and myself have learned so much from this experience and it's been a thrill to perform at each new school and see the children react to our shows.

This journey actually began with me researching about Chinese wedding tea ceremonies and reaching out to connect with and

I am really glad that the intersection of culture/ceremony/performance has brought me into this space.

However, upon finding Celebrant Jam, she is the absolute opposite. She brings so much life, positivity and fun, along with professionalism and wisdom.
