Gemma + Callan

Activating some elopement ceremony magic!

Gemma and Callan reached out to me from QLD after seeing one of my elopement ceremonies featured on elopement.com.au

It was a misty COVID Lockdown era elopement. Where our lovers chose to pivot their Heidi Museum wedding to instead have a 5 people ceremony at their proposal location, at the top of Mount Donna Buang with just myself and the photog/videog duo from as their witnesses.

It was a simple ceremony, yet moody and dramatic due to the raw natural elements captured perfectly by Gemma and Callan had again enlisted the talented crew at to help realise their own elopement dreams.

Leading up to Gemma and Callan's ceremony date the weather forecast for Mount Donna Buang had predicted a cold snap and snow. So they decided to pivot their mountain top elopement to a ceremony amongst the Warburton Redwoods.

I was more than pleased upon hearing the location change as I have always wanted to perform a ceremony amongst the Redwoods. I was even more stoked when we rocked up and found that they wanted to have their ceremony in front of one of those magical nest constructions.

Performing a wedding in front of a Redwood stick nest was not on my bingo card this year, and I am absolutely LIVING for it!!!

The ceremony almost didn't happen due to them leaving their IDs behind in QLD, but luckily they got them flown down hours before their ceremony.

Congrats to Gemma and Callan on getting hitched in the most magical way!!!

Redwood Forest Ceremony

What an enchanting place for ceremonies.

Our elopement today on the 1st day of Spring, was meant to take place at the top of Mount Donna Buang. But the cold snap over the weekend meant the roads were out of action. So when my couple suggested the Redwood forest, I was more than happy at the pivot.

I remember the 1st time I visited these trees years ago with my fam, when my son was still a toddler, and thinking to myself how magical it would be to perform a ceremony amongst these magnificent Redwoods.

Today my wish came true.
Here's to manifesting more magical ceremonies!

*Jam did our wedding back in April and she was such a super star. We wanted a celebrant that reflected us, and she was perfect. We had a lot of guests come up to us afterwards praising the unique touch she gave to the ceremony and many of our friends loved getting to know her at the reception as our MC.*

What a privilege to be a part of your ceremony and reception after party.

As your MC Jam I take on a more fluid and laid back role.

Yes I will introduce you back into your wedding party and get your guests ready and up to make their speeches.

Yes I will get everyone to check you out as you cut your yummy wedding cake and then help you open the dance floor for the good times.

I am also thrilled to mix and mingle with your nearest and dearest community of family and friends.

And whilst I'm here, I will get the guest book stated!
I will help take the Polaroids for your guests to be added into the guest book. More than happy to help take group photos for your friend on their phone.

And I will lead your guests to tear up the dance floor, flower girl included.
