As a key influencer in the LGBTIQ+ wedding industry in Australia, I'm the first Celebrant in Australia to have completed the US-based Gay Wedding Institute's Certificate course in Gay and Le***an Weddings. I was voted as a 2017 Finalist in the ABIA Victorian Celebrant of the Year Award. I'm keen to work with LGBTIQ+ couples who want something a bit different from the boring, traditional wedding ce

This afternoon, I conducted my 200th LGBTIQA+ wedding. I’m grateful to all those couples, from within Australia and from other countries, who have chosen me to be their celebrant. I know marriage has changed the lives of many of these couples - and, in some cases, has saved lives. I’m both proud of and humbled by this milestone. Today’s couple, like many other LGBTIQA+ couples I marry, were very private and came from an overseas country that doesn’t have marriage equality. I was given permission to post this photo of their wedding rings.

What an honour to marry Bryan and Jeremy in my final marriage ceremony for 2024. They flew in this morning from Manila via Hong Kong on the same flight I caught three weeks ago. I loved their barongs, designed and made by Bryan (L). The material is made from pineapple fibre. Tomorrow they fly back to Manila, married! Congrats to both of you gorgeous men!

My office today. I married two people from outside Australia who’ve been together for 10 years. Some very close friends flew to Sydney from overseas to share this special time with them. Lots of tears were shed. An incredible experience for all of us who were there. Many thanks to my friend and celebrant colleague, Lillian Lyon, who suggested the stunning venue and the picnic providers.
