Anna + Billy were only introduced to me two months or so ago by the lovely @logcabinranch - and I was incredibly honoured to capture their long awaited wedding alongside @countrymilephotographyaus
After a global pandemic, 2 gorgeous kids, an interstate move, 3 postponements and a rollercoaster of a week from hell in the lead up to their special day, nothing was going to stop these two from having the wedding they deserve.
And what a day. Absolutely gorgeous.

Wedding planning is easy!
All you need is vendors who are aligned and work well with one another. Everything else will fall into place.
I’ve had a few meetings after @valleyloves last week - the common thing which comes up is not knowing where to start.
My advice: find your anchor vendor. It could be your venue, your celebrant or videographer 👋 - someone you trust who has the experience, reviews and dance moves to back it all up. Then, lock in the vendors they recommend. You want people who all work together well. A wedding day shouldn’t be the day where they’re figuring out how to “work in” with lone rangers.
Every couple that I’m fortunate to capture their special day - we send through a bunch of vendors who collide with us in the bestest of ways. From photographers who we respect, to celebrants who know how to entertain a crowd and have a pro P.A system that won’t conk out just as you hit the aisle (true story, it’s happened before 🙄). Can even hook you up with an MC who will be far better than your cousin, hair and makeup artists who run to time and never are late as well as muso’s who will ensure your dance floor is lit AF all night long.
There is a difference between good and great weddings- and great ones always have vendors who know each other and are all team players.
No gimmicks. Just pure facts.

Want the secret to ensure you’ll have a chilled AF morning on your wedding day?
Ensure all hair and makeup is finished and long gone 30 mins+ prior to the arrival of your photographer and videographer.
Walking into Marie’s preparations where everyone was just so chilled and stress free - the ladies were just lazing around on the couch bantering in the good times, champers was flowing and enabled ‘pause’ before things started up again.

What a day. So much to unpack and that will be unpacked over the next few days.
You can’t beat human interaction that’s not through a computer screen. Listening to live music, food trucks and vendor tomfoolery- and meeting so many lovely couples who are planning their special day and want the best experience ever.
Thankful to be part of @valleyloves since it’s curation - I’ve been part of their community every year without fail (no bailing for a better opportunity elsewhere cause you know, there is no fair better than VL).
So great to be amongst so many vendor legends I’m fortunate to call good friends. There was such a vibe today as soon as you entered the fair - choosing vendors that work well together, that love each other to the max and that all share the same ethos — this is so important and I can guarantee your wedding will be a gazillion times greater than you can ever imagine.
