We see you Vauban 👀

This gorgeous boy might be looking relaxed all tucked up in his stables here at the Werribee Racing Club , but we’re not fooled!

We expect to see a little less snoozing and ‘race face’ appear tomorrow morning, on Melbourne Cup Day, as this elite fella is a hot chance at taking home the big one 🏆

Vauban and his stablemate Absurde arrived at the Werribee Racing Club in early October, for Irish trainer Willie Mullins.

Willie’s assistant, David Casey, said: “since they arrived in Werribee, they've been very good. Vauban has put back on everything he lost and the other guy has put on most of it….We’re delighted with them”.

Wishing Vauban and Absurde (affectionately known around the stables as ‘Baba’) the best of luck settling their ‘unfinished business’ at Flemington tomorrow!

We’re excited to celebrate with our mate 𝗦𝗘𝗔 𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚, who’s been quarantining at the Werribee Racing Club since late-September, after his outstanding Bendigo Cup win on Wednesday 🥳

Sending special congratulations to Sea King’s connections, including OTI Racing and Harry Eustace.

Hosting such a high calibre of international champions here at our Werribee stables is a real thrill, especially as we get to follow these incredible racehorses across their Country Cups wins and into their big metro appearances across the next week 🏆

Smoothie, as he’s known to his mates, sure is a smooth operator on the track and a familiar face at the Werribee Racing Club since arriving 3 weeks ago to quarantine after his trip from the UK.

We look forward to continuing to follow Smoothie’s journey on the track here in Oz, including his run in the Melbourne Cup in a couple of weeks 🏆🤩
