Megan George

Megan is freelance photographer based in Melbourne. She has studied photography at RMIT in Melbourne, and been a part of the industry since 2015.

With experience across a range of photographic genres, including events, portraits, lifestyle and travel, Megan brings a passion and artistic eye to her work behind the camera. She has worked with clients such as Victoria Harbour, White Night and YGap. Currently she works in-house at Bluethumb, photographing their artists, staff and gallery space. In this role, her photographs have been published multiple times in national media (Australian Financial Review, The Guardian, Broadsheet, RealEstate.com.au and more).

โ€œSince I was a teenager, Iโ€™ve been fascinated by the power of the image and the ways that different techniques can transform the mood of a photograph.

My approach to photography is that of the observer. While I may seem quiet, that just is so I donโ€™t miss a single moment! It's with this skill that I am able to see all those subtle, beautiful interactions and moments of joy. I personally love photos of real emotions, so I try to stay as honest in my photos as possible. I approach my work with an eye to keep it artistic, but still truthful.โ€
