Hello friends, family and the beautiful extended Woopsadaisy Community. We will be gathering on the 15th January at the Sanctuary at Bunurong Memorial Park to celebrate Wayne’s life. We invite you to share prayers and memories with us as we come together to find the strength and courage to say our final goodbye to a great man.

Following the service, the funeral will proceed to another location (TBC but likely Cranbourne) for those who wish to spend some quality time sharing some food and drinks in Wayne’s honour.

To quote my favourite book by Charlie Mackesy “What do we do when our hearts hurt? We wrap them in friendship, shared tears and time ‘till they wake hopeful and happy again”

Mum (Pauline), Grandma, Nick, Siobhan and I are so touched by all the friendship, community and love we have not only been wrapped in, but enveloped in.

We would be eternally grateful for the opportunity to thank you all, and send Wayne off surrounded by as many friendly faces, and as much love and warmth as we can muster.

BUSINESS FOR SALE -Expressions of interest

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce that the iconic Cranbourne flower power institution Woopsadaisy Florist is looking for a new owner/operator.

Many of the Cranbourne community have been blessed with beautiful flowers and wedding installations created by my incredibly talented mum over the last 30 years. Whether she’s been designing your dream wedding bouquet, delivering a bright bunch for your birthday or sending your fella home with red roses and a stuffed monkey for Valentine’s Day, I have no hesitation in saying love and great care has gone into every single arrangement she’s made.

She has brought joy, smiles and comfort to so many in her daily contribution to her community. It’s truly no exaggeration to say she has gone above and beyond, time and time again, day-in-day-out to faithfully serve her many long-term and repeat customers, brides and grooms, local schools, sporting clubs and businesses.

Woopsadaisy is mums dream, life’s work and a legacy we are all so proud of. It would never have been for sale if it wasn’t for the tragic circumstances that cost Wayne his life, and caused mum significant injuries 3 weeks ago that will make her unable to continue operating for the foreseeable future. For these reasons, it really does present the rarest opportunity for a flower-lover and/or wedding lover to step into the business opportunity of a lifetime.

Hi everybody,
My name is Amber - I am Pauline’s daughter and Wayne’s step-daughter. It is with the heaviest heart that I share the devastating news that both mum and Wayne were involved in the horrific car accident in Nar Nar Goon last Saturday.

Wayne was flown in to the royal melbourne while mum was driven into the Alfred and the driver of the other vehicle died at the scene. They were both in a critical condition but the wonderful medical teams at both hospitals were initially optimistic.

Unfortunately, as the days went by we started to realise the severity of Wayne’s injuries and he lost his battle on Thursday afternoon. Mum is stable and fighting very hard but has some challenging procedures ahead so please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. She has served her Woopsa community with love, pride and generosity over the last 30 years and I know there will be many hearts breaking for her and Wayne right now.

For now, I’d like to thank Wayne for all he did for my mum to help her make so many of your dream wedding visions come to life. He loved her so much, and his commitment to her extended well beyond the shop and showed through the energy he gave to making our little farm special and beautiful for her but also for grandma and I.

For now, the shop is closed. Our little Woopsa team (and lots of extras) have come together to fulfil the wedding orders for this weekend. There are so many thanks I should give to all who have contributed to the massive effort to coordinate this at such a difficult time but I don’t have the energy right now. To the future brides with booking we will be in touch over the coming days.

We have the toughest roads ahead but we can feel the love and support surrounding us. I will update this page again when we know more from a business perspective but otherwise it will likely not be checked often for now. I know many of you care about mum on a personal level, and
for those who would like to reach out or stay informed I am trying to keep my personal social media updated as the platform for that.
