TUESDAY JULY 30TH 2024. 5.30PM-8.30PM

The Rebecca Jane Foundation is having the biggest winter networking event in the east for businesses.

In turn, you will be able to connect and collaborate with others as well as contributing to the wonderful work of the Rebecca Jane Foundation, who help pay for the funerals of babies when parents cannot afford to do so.

There will be champagne on arrival, finger food and a cash bar where you can purchase your own drinks.

Never networked before or feel you are no good at it? Don't worry there will be some activities to get you mingling with more than those you already know. If you own a business then you need to network and this is a great way to get started.

NOTE: While all profits are going to RJF, this is not a fundraising event as such (ie no raffles etc) just purely a business networking event with many groups from the eastern suburbs plus further afield. Best of all - it is a business expense! Please share with anyone you think may be interested.

One of the many things behind the scenes on wedding day.… As a celebrant, I always carry an unstitcher tool to ensure the groom and groomsmen look their best. Often, suit shops leave the tacking stitch at the back of jackets intact, and removing it makes a big difference in photos. As some of you may know I am a director of a childrens charity where we pay for the funerals of angel babies that have passed away under 1 year of age and the families cannot afford to pay for the funeral We give them a chance to say goodbye when they may not have had a chance to even say hello.

We URGENTLY need some assistance. Any small donation you can make at www.rjf.org.au/donate will help us pay for the funerals, especially so close to Christmas, this is a truly hearbreaking moment for these families. All donations are tax deductible.

We have been approached by EIGHT families requiring urgent assistance to pay for their angels baby’s funeral.

Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful impact. Your support will provide the family with the space to grieve without the added burden of financial strain.

By coming together as a community to support the families in their time of need, especially at this time of year, will be overwhelming for the family.

Great news. Many of you may or may not know that I’m a director of a charity, the Rebecca Jane Foundation and we pay for the funerals of babies that have passed away up to 1 year old where the family cannot afford a funeral. We give them an opportunity to say goodbye when they may not have had an opportunity to say hello to their little angel baby. Well I’m so happy to say we just won the Community Excellence Award in the 2023 Whitehorse Business Awards. I’m so glad that as a non profit charity run by volunteers we were able to have the charity recognised. www.rjf.org.au

Great wedding today at Eynesbury Golf Course for Siddharth and Sukhmani. It was touch and go with the weather but we had their wonderful outdoor wedding with close friends and family watching from overseas.

Great wedding at Chateau Wyuna for Jess and Jason. We were worried about the rain but it held off and we had a wonderful ceremony filled with laughs and some special moments when their rings were passed amongst their family to be "warmed" with their love and best wishes. Later in the ceremony their mothers were surprised when presented with a flower from Jess's bouquet as a special thanks for all of their love and support to them both. Congratulations again Jess and Jason, it was a great pleasure to help you have a wonderful wedding.

One of the special moments in a wedding is when I surprise the mothers when I ask them to come forward during the ceremony and they are presented a flower from the bride's bouquet. I can make anything work in a ceremony, just let me know any ideas you have. This was such a special moment for Bron and Linda when Courtney and Matt presented the flower to their mums.

One of the things I love doing, is when the mother of the bride arrives with the bride or groom and instead of them walking in on their own, I think it's great if I walk her to her seat. Hi everyone, some of you may know that I am a director of the non-profit charity, The Rebecca Jane Foundation. We help pay for the funeral costs for families financially struggling whose baby has passed away up to 1 year of age. For many families they may not have had a chance to say hello when they now have to say goodbye.

We are holding a fundraising luncheon on May 7th from 12pm-4pm at the Mulgrave Country Club. This year it is a 3 course luncheon, including a glass of champers on arrival with raffles, auctions, and entertainment.

Come along and bring family, bring friends, bring strangers...lol. Tickets are $95 each or $850 a table of 10, (plus booking fee). If people let me know numbers before booking I will try and get everyone on to the tables of 10 to save some money. Also, if you know any businesses that may have some raffle prizes they would like to donate, it would be greatly appreciated.
