Otao kitchen cooking school was launched in Richmond, in July 2014, with the goal of celebrating the rich and varied experience of Melbourne’s immigrant communities. Its founder, Chef Ha Nguyen, originally from Hanoi, Vietnam shares his passion for food, instructing customers in the exotic diaspora of cuisine, while conveying a sense of his own heritage.

Today Otao kitchen is home to many world cuisines from the comfort kitchen just minutes from Melbourne CBD. The space is designed for food discovery and social interactions focusing on senses for over 5,500 guests and 400 classes each year.
