I am in my element planning a function, whether it's a family birthday party at home or celebrating a major milestone with all our loved ones around us. Planning something special is what I do best. As your Civil Celebrant my focus is on YOU. I will do everything I can to meet your expectations, meeting with you as often as you require to ensure your perfect ceremony. I am based in Inner-Eastern Victoria (Templestowe) and am available for your ceremony statewide.

I married these guys! Bella & Tom took on the newbie celebrant for her first ever ceremony! I was scared to death! First ceremony AND a handfasting!!
As you can see, we are all still smiling at the end of the ceremony - you only ever have to do something for the first time once! Rest assured, I’m a little more relaxed now. 😘

The best thing about being a celebrant? No it’s not all the balls I’m juggling, nor is it the ride. It’s how I get to know you through what I do. I come away from every ceremony feeling like a family member. I can’t show you this with any one picture of me with people so instead it’s me juggling balls on the ride. Such finesse!

Indoor vs outdoor? Quelle question! It’s all up to what you want really. Sure, indoors you don’t have to worry about inclement weather (rain, strong winds) and there are some truly beautiful indoor venues for your wedding ( ). But what could surpass sunset on the beach? Or the mystical shade of ? The one thing I urge you all is ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN B. We live in Melbourne guys… there’s no predicting WHAT our weather (or wildlife) will do!

You ask where I like best to marry people? That’s easy - my place! While I love a big celebration I find the sheer joy of a simple, intimate ceremony is unsurpassed. Mind you, sometimes I don’t recognize my top room when the decorations go up!

Paper or electric? I’m the first person to admit that when it comes to my ceremonies I’m a total CONTROL FREAK! I use my iPad so I can control all the elements and stream music on command making things seamless. But sometimes this doesn’t always work. On very hot days my iPad can overheat, or on bright days it can become hard to read the screen. I ALWAYS HAVE A PAPER BACKUP. I can’t control everything - I need to be prepared for every contingency.

Meet Maddie & Tim. They married at on a very special day. It was the day that Australia officially said YES which prompted a change in the Monitum. As I stated the new Monitum for the first time I could feel the shift. It was a little piece of wonderful. Credit to for this shot!

Not a lot of people know this but I have a rose named after me. Meet the Sally Howard rose. It’s not one you’ll find in mainstream floral marketplaces but it’s beautifully formed and often gives me a double bloom. It pays to know the guy that breeds the roses! I love it. Choose the flowers that speak to you when you celebrate and surround yourself with them!

Where the magic happens… I have more hats than my MC hat! I am a creator - whether it’s writing your ceremony or catching the colours in my head I have my own little space to make magic. I also have a savvy, tech minded son who built my own little tech heaven for me to work in!

Christie and Callum were due to be married in April 2020. The state of Victoria was scheduled for total COVID lockdown from the Wednesday prior. DISASTER! When I rang a tearful Christie to tell her I was not allowed to marry them the following Saturday we struck upon a terrific idea - why not pull it all together BEFORE lockdown? I was due to meet the bride & groom for a rehearsal on the Tuesday, why couldn’t that become a wedding instead???
WE DID IT!!!

Big things come in small packages? I beg to differ. is a BIG GUY in the best possible way! Now now…calm your farm. I mean he’s big where it counts. BIG lens (der… he’s a camera guy), BIG humour and best of all BIG impact- he can think of the best ways to capture you while you’re at your best! But some of the best camera dudes have an element about them that is not big. It’s that pesky element of disruption. Pete floors me - I don’t even know he’s there while he’s working his magic. Do yourselves a favour ppl - call Pete.

There’s no question that I have more than one favourite person and It’s easy to see who they are! But the absolute bestest people around are the people who have seen me before coffee, after coffee and all the times in between and still call themselves my biggest fans. And I am theirs.
