I am an inclusive, modern Authorised Celebrant who’s embarrassingly passionate about celebrating peoples’ stories. Actively involved in the LGBTQI+ scenes in the UK, Europe, and Australia I have been involved in a wide range of events, public speaking and production management in both a corporate and festival setting. As a native Melbournian, who also calls London and Berlin home, for me the light

bulb moment of wanting to become a Celebrant was when one of my favorite couples got engaged shortly after the UK opened up its arms to marriage equality, and I just knew that I wanted to be a part of the story. And I really do adore love stories. I’m back at Cape Paterson Surf Life Saving Club today as Celebrant and MC for A + J and it got me thinking about Ness and Lachies awesome wedding earlier this year.

The weather was perfect for their I do’s and the sunset a beautiful overcast evening that provided this immense light.

Every time I’m back in a space I’ve held a ceremony I automatically think back to weddings that have happened there before and the shadows of them remain long after the confetti has disappeared.

Bride tribe… pick your people! 👯‍♀️

Bridesmaids, brides people, wedding party, I do crew… whatever you call them, pick the people that you love the most that you KNOW will help support you along the way.

Pippa and Tom’s best people did just that and were boots on ground throughout everything to make sure that the couple had the best day ever (which has been confirmed by Pippa AND Tom!). They went from full on farm hand realness to gorgeous bride and groom in less than 24 hours. It was amazing and I’m still smiling from their big day 🤩🤩

Dress codes…. Sometimes controversial, but I absolutely love them! 🖤

From cocktail to smart casual, black tie to monochrome realness, the right dress code can really go to enhance the mood.

The key to getting it right is to make it accessible to all of your guests. If your friends have never worn a suit in their life then asking for all tuxedos might be a step too far, but there are ways to add some flair and style to the day.

Belinda and LeRoy knew that they wanted their guests to feel fun, flirty and fabulous and upped the ante by instead of asking their guests to wear black, included “all black - think MET Gala”. Their guests knew they could go as OTT as they’d like and really lean into the fabulousness of the day.

And from what I saw, all of their guests loved it. LeRoy’s dad’s outfit was maybe my favourite, and I can’t wait to show you more. For me I wore a dress with a tulle overlay from and jewellery from and , captured here by at

CONGRATS NICOLE AND JORDAN ☀️

Nicole and Jordan were married up in the Gippsland hills at . There were 25 guests, each chosen for their special roles in the couples life.

Nicole looked stunning in a creamy white floral gown that paired so beautifully with Jordan’s tan slacks and white shirt, that he wore sans jacket. The florals were created with beauty and restraint, complimenting the natural flora and ambience of the day.

Made a friend today…

I found this fledgling magpie by the side of the road that had almost been hit by three cars (that I saw) and couldn’t fly away. I scooped it up and took it to the vets who after checking them over said they were okay and could be taken back to the wild. They were placed back near where I found them, and hopefully their parents can keep an eye out for them until they’re able to fly.

Fledgling magpies can be on the ground for two weeks while they develop the strength to fly. Until that time it’s good to keep pets and small kids away from them. This little one will hopefully find their way back.

For the time we were together all it wanted to do was nestle into my neck and give me hugs. What a beautiful encounter it was.

CONGRATS PIKI AND KYM ❤️‍🔥

Eloped 4/11/2024 💍

Last Monday with only two guests, plus Anna from and I to bear witness, Piki and Kym were married.

They had flown over from New Zealand to be wed in their own true style. Forgoing traditions we sat comfortably with cocktails in hand while I talked through the events and feelings that had lead to them being married. The wedding was held as a conversation rather than a presentation. Vows were shared, laughs were had.

Thank you for asking me to marry you. I just hope your kitty cats are ready for a lifetime of happiness.

CONGRATS DI AND MATT 💘

When I first met Di and Matt they knew what they wanted - a wedding day that felt more like a party with friends than a formal affair. So with 70 of their best friends and family along for the celebration, they set about to do just that.

WHERE DO I EVEN START?????? Pippa and Tom were married at Pippa’s mum’s house down in the country and it embodied everything I love about country weddings. It was an intimate, joyous shin dig that went long into the weekend. There was no pretentiousness, just a rip roaring good time.

It’s been a while since I’ve had the good fortune of working with , but I did just that on Friday!!!

It got me thinking about the last time we worked together back in March this year. It was a stinker of a day - 42° in the shade - and yet he was still running around getting all of the shots. And even with it be that dastardly hot, look at the light he was able to capture for Bree and Rod’s big day at

When hiring your photographer always look for someone that gels with you in terms of vibe, but also for their experience. I’m not saying don’t higher the newbies - I was a newbie after all once upon a time - what I’m saying is hire someone that is experienced enough in life, art, their business, whatever it is, that you know can handle whatever is thrown at them.

In short I guess I’m saying, just be more Glen.
