Precious Celebrations - Marriage Celebrant

Precious Celebrations - Marriage Celebrant Precious works with couples to create incredible, personalised wedding ceremonies that are guaranteed to make you smile.

100% for marriage equality.

I am an inclusive, modern Authorised Celebrant who’s embarrassingly passionate about celebrating peoples’ stories. Actively involved in the LGBTQI+ scenes in the UK, Europe, and Australia I have been involved in a wide range of events, public speaking and production management in both a corporate and festival setting. As a native Melbournian, who also calls London and Berlin home, for me the light

bulb moment of wanting to become a Celebrant was when one of my favorite couples got engaged shortly after the UK opened up its arms to marriage equality, and I just knew that I wanted to be a part of the story. And I really do adore love stories. As an incurable romantic I want to work with people that are up for making their ceremony something incredible; a ceremony to remember above all else, and a day for you, and me, to celebrate - hopefully with as many laughs and smiles as possible along the way. But your day isn’t about me, it’s about you. So please get in touch with me at any time and let’s arrange a time for a drink and a chat about what you’re looking to make happen. Love Precious xx

P.S. If you, or a friend/family member, is a child or teenager in the process of coming out as transgender I offer my services free of change to preform a naming ceremony. I offer the same service for adults with a small fee involved.

📣 Celebrant, MC, creator of average reels… hello everyone! Lovely to see you.

For those that I haven’t met my name is Precious and I’ve been in the wedding industry for 8+ years now.

I love to work with people who want to create weddings that reflect who they are. Each and every one of the 350+ weddings I’ve lead has been unique in their own way, as I’d rather create something that is perfect for the two of you rather than just settling for something okay by default. I would say my style is passionate and funny, soulful with a touch of sass, and have been described as your ultimate hype girl / wedding auntie / your wedding fairy godmother.

I predominately work within a 150km radius of Melbourne, but have conducted ceremonies in the hinterlands of Tassie through to the inner suburbs of Sydney and the backstreets of Lakes Entrance, Albury and even on a waterfall in the Grampians. I charge generally between $1,500 and $1,800 for weddings, and MC’ing $800 (all pricing inclusive of GST).

So I f you’re looking for a Celebrant and/or an MC, drop me a line because this is enough talking about me - I wanna hear from you about how you picture your wedding!

Thanks to for snapping my picture at for Sonya and Jen’s big day (and please come back to Australia!!!)

Mish and Tom first met to the power of Tinder… neither of them can remember who it was that swiped right first, but Mish immediately taken in by Tom’s blue eyes and big, gorgeous smile.

Their first date was up the road from Mish’s mums house, and as Tom didn’t have a car at the time Mish offered to pick him up and drive them both to the Westfield in Plenty Valley for a Subway. That day Mish strategically picked a public place to pick him up from, and may or may not have also strategically packed a huge gardening shovel in the back seat.

Luckily, she didn’t need to use it and both Mish and Tom survived their first date without becoming a feature in a Netflix true crime documentary. Instead, Tom walked away with the impression that Mish was a ball of talkative energy, a little bit goofy and someone that had a fantastic sense of humor – and he was right on all accounts.

Whereas Mish’s impressions of Tom that day were that he was a nice guy, with a quietness that was different from anyone that she’d ever met before. She was intrigued and curious to get to know him more.

Their first kiss happened soon afterwards in Mish’s bedroom while they watched Friends, followed by more firsts, meeting friends and family and falling more and more for each other. Because the more they got to know about each other, the more they liked. And while there was no particular moment when they first realised that they were in love, what they have had is a series of relationship defining lessons that they’ve learnt.

Throughout it all they’ve fallen more and more in love, to the point where one day Mish knew that she didn’t want to go through life without Tom. That he is her safe place, her home, her calm in the storm and although their differences can be challenging at times, it’s all worth it to come to home to him at the end of every day.

And on the 3rd of May 2025 they celebrated this all by getting married.

Those moments before the music starts and the bride, the groom, or whoever else is about to walk down the aisle, are some of THE most important moments for any Celebrant.

In those two or three minutes I’m trying to gauge exactly who is there, what the energy levels are like in the room, and how much I can tease a crowd.

Have your guests had a few bevvies?

Is someone’s relative in a mood about something?

Are people in the mood to laugh?

Is this their first time as a non denominational or Australian, Celebrant lead wedding?

All of these factors go into the day.

Feeling it out works, and it’s all a big part of going into trying to deliver the best that I / we can do.

I love being a Celebrant. I love the roller coaster of emotion. I love the Adrenalin rush. I love the writing and crafting of a wedding ceremony. I even love the way some words, phrases and sentences feel in my mouth when I’m saying them. To me this is the perfect way to spend my time when I’m not with my friends and family. So thank you to everyone who’s booked me, recommended me or worked with me.

But in those two or three minutes before the music starts, it’s also the scariest, most electrifying, beautiful feeling you get in the world.

Transforming .wool.mill into their own vibrant dream of what a wedding could look like, they said their vows, exchanged promises and both took new names to reflect their new chapter as married people.

Every detail was thought about ahead of time, and then released so that they would be able to enjoy their day with the ease of knowing their vendors had their back. We started talking about this wedding four years ago now, and they were married in 2023, and yet it’s still firmly set in my mind as the perfect example of doing it your own way 💟

What happens when you combine a photographer who knows how to capture the little moments so well with a wedding full of incredibly well dressed people?

Easy. An album full of fabulous people captured at beautiful times.

Phuong and David met thanks to their love of design, of which they’ve both based their careers in. They’ve gone on to forge incredibly tight friendships with a truly delightful group of people, which made their full day wedding so joyous.

They started with lunch, legalities and speeches at , before heading on for drinks at , a ceremony at The Conservatory in Fitzroy Gardens, and finished up with an after party at

Check out some of the details and outfits captured by here from part one of their day 🫶🏽

“Marry your best friend. I do not say that lightly.

Really, truly find the strongest, happiest friendship in the person you fall in love with.

Someone who speaks highly of you.

Someone you can laugh with.

The kind of laughs that make your belly ache, and your nose snort. The embarrassing, earnest, healing kind of laughs.

Wit is important. Life is too short not to love someone who lets you be a fool with them.

Make sure they are somebody who lets you cry, too.

Despair will come.

Find someone that you want to be there with you through those times.

Most importantly, marry the one that makes passion, love, and madness combine and course through you.

A love that will never dilute - even when the waters get deep, and dark.”

- N’tima

“Weddings shouldn’t be political” HARD DISAGREE

Everything is political if you boil it down to human rights.

LGBTQIA+ couples aren’t allowed to be married in many countries across the world, and it’s not even been a decade of marriage equality in Australia. Trans people are still being discriminated against. Legally recognised residents are being forced from their home by ICE agents overseas.

Rights given doesn’t mean that rights can’t be taken away. Speaking with Australian friends living in the US many are fearful for what it means for their unions in being legally recognised in weeks and months to come. Let alone Palestine, Iran, Ukraine and so many more countries.

I am a small business struggling to survive in a cost of living crisis (or a cossy livs crisis as my friend JG calls it), but even with the threat of losing potential business because I’m sharing things politically, I’d rather lose the business than not stand up for people around the world.

Vote with your dollar. Spend your money wisely. Talk to people about the hard things. Challenge those who believe in something that isn’t for all people.

Support the LGBTQIA+ community.
Stand up for Palestine and immigrants everywhere.
Stop the genocide.
Help the Ukrainian people.

With love, Precious xx

Steph and Oscar’s really did have everything… laughter, tears, bottle green eyeshadow that the bride applied herself, and, of course, goats. It was a pure celebration of joy and love, with a few old show tunes thrown in for good measure.

It’s since been featured on , but that wasn’t the point of their day. They set out to have a day that was purely them, and made sure that everyone was thought of throughout. When it got too warm inside the reception (it was November after all!) we moved the speeches and first dance outside and took full advantage of that beautiful spring sunshine. It was perfection 🥰🥰

They did their wedding up in style and asked their guests to do the same. There was no upstaging the bride here - because first of all we had two grooms and secondly they both slayed super hard all night long with their custom looks.

Anna from captured the moments at and I dare you to look all through this fabulous carousel of some of the best, most vibrant wedding pics you’re going to see.

Gemma and Vito first met thanks to the power of online dating. Gemma was first to swipe right on Vito and still remembers thinking that he was ‘so fit’. But by the time Vito had seen Gemma’s like she was already up north in Queensland and it seemed that their first chance to meet had passed…

However, Gemma wasn’t the only one that had been charmed, Vito was also incredibly taken with what he’d seen and thought that the hot blonde chick with the hot British accent needed to be met. So they started to chat and had originally planned to meet at the airport once Gemma was back on her last night in Australia.

But thinking about it, meeting a strange man off the internet and hoping into his car does also have a touch of a Netflix true crime mini-series about it, so they decided not to meet at this stage. And while Vito was upset he also understood, and the chicken nuggets helped treated himself to that night helped heal his broken heart. Because that had to be the end of the story right?

To be continued…
