Just this week, I was chatting to one of our couples about personalisation and how to find inspiration for some unique details and experiences. So today, I’m here to spill the tea on exactly what I shared with them: ⁠

While coming up with ideas can often feel hard, it can be made easier by taking some time to look back on your time together. ⁠

First Steps: Take a trip down memory lane and reflect on all your experiences together. From your holidays to key memories and moments you’ve shared. What jumps out at you? ⁠

It might be your favourite holidays or shared interests like your love of food. List them out and use them as inspiration for personal details.⁠

It doesn’t have to be big, even something small. It’s often the smallest of details that make the biggest impact! ⁠

Here are five easy ways to keep your styling on track (and on point!):

1 | Set a Clear Vision:
For your wedding colour palette, this means selecting a cohesive range of hues that compliment each other and reflect your desired aesthetic. Whether you choose soft pastels or bold colourful tones, sticking to your chosen palette throughout your decor will create a harmonious look and feel.

2 | Establish Style Guidelines:
Define your wedding style preferences such as modern glam, timeless chic, and use them a a reference point for all your design decisions. This ensures consistency in your decor choices and prevents any mimatched elements from detracting from your overal vision.

3 | Communicate with your Vendors:
Share your vision and style guidelines with your wedding vendors right from day one! Clear communication with everyone from florists to stationers, ensures your vendors are all aligned with your vision and can execute it seamlessly.

4 | Select 1-2 Consistent Shapes and Textures:
Using 1-2 shapes and textures that will feature prominently throughout your wedding decor. Whether it’s clean lines or textured linens, plan to reuse these in all areas for a consistent finish.

How good is this bar set up though??

One of our favourite ways to make your bar both a beautiful feature and a practical station is to ADD FEATURE DETAILS 💫

As many of you know, we’re alllll about creating functional spaces that serve a purpose while also being beautifully styled and the bar is one of those areas that just tick ✅ all the boxes!

So how do you make it more than just a functional space?

By adding extra details to make this a multi-purpose station.

Here are some of our favourite ways to give your bar it own unique flair:

1 | Bar Signage - statement signage thats Informative. Don’t scrimp on the information. Include all your available drinks and brand names plus your bar service times so guests know is open and closed.

2 | Signature Cocktails - give your drinks some personality with his and hers cocktails or unique names. But don’t forget to state when cocktails are available from on your menu if you’re keeping these for a certain time of day.

3 | Pre-poured Station - a practical yet classy way to display pre-poured drinks for guests to help themselves. Have a designated area on the bar for self-service to keep the drinks flowing.

4 | Wifi & Password - add this onto your bar menu or have a separate sign for the venue wifi and password. Especially if asking guests to share photos or use QR codes that require internet. Thank me later!

5 | Florals - saving the best for last! Ok, we love florals but they really do make a bar from a styling perspective. Allowing you to tie in your colour scheme and create a cohesive look a feel, they’re a must from us!

The fear that it won’t go as planned or, worse, that something might go wrong, is a common worry for so many couples because in this moment, you want it to be perfect. For the start of your celebration to be seamless, easy and stress free…but there’s always a “what if”

We get it! We’ve been there, felt that, and learned how to turn those fears into a seamless, stress-free ceremony.

Here are three tried-and-true tips straight from our experience to ensure your day begins just as you imagined:

You’d be surprised how many couple skip this step - and it’s so important! Walk through every step of your ceremony the day prior to iron out any final details. We first met Bianca and Cameron a little over a year ago while Bianca was pregnant with their now gorgeous baby boy Jagger and mid way through planning their wedding. I’m BIG on Planning and a lover of the finer details.
I first launched Event Den back in 2020 and now have a small team working with me to plan, style and deliver dream experiences across VIC and NSW.

As Planners & Designers, we are invested in the entire planning journey of every wedding we do. From the initial spark of inspiration to the first dance, we meticulously plan every detail.

And you certainly won’t get any fluff here!

We’re firm believers that the most incredible weddings are created with a combination of precision planning, thoughtful styling and seamless coordination. Which is exactly why we’re dedicated to supporting each and every couple with all three components in one.

Today is our last day in the office before we break for Christmas and we’re spending it finalising run sheets and plans for the second half of our wedding season as well as meeting with one special couple getting married on New Years Eve.

With one more wedding to go for 2023, we’ll be splitting our break in two and officially back in the office on the 8th January.

While we will be offline indulging in good food, good wine and good company over the coming two weeks, we will be checking emails intermittently for our early 2024 weddings. All other emails will be responded to on our return!
