We are looking for hard-working individuals to join our growing team.
What do we do? We build events and exhibitions in and around Adelaide. If you have ever been to a festival, an event or attended a trade show, or even the Royal Show, chances are we had something to do with it. We are the people behind the scenes that make stuff happen.
We are looking for people to come and work with us, on some of the biggest and best events SA puts on. What is on offer? Long hours, working outside in all weather conditions, hard work, starting early and / or finishing late. Employment is under the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award 2020 (MA000080). A great inclusive team. Working in some of the best venues SA has. And ongoing work for the right people.
What you will have:
Availability - we often start or finish at weird times of the day or night. Is this going to fit in with your other commitments? We work every day of the week. Just because other people are having a weekend off, doesn't mean that we will. We work when needed.
Your own transport is preferred - its fine if you rely on public transport, as a lot of our work is in the city. But, if we are starting at 6am on a Sunday, can you get there?
Fit and eager to work - some of our work gets a bit physical, with lifting involved, or carrying up and down stairs. Can you handle that? We don't need you to be built like the Hulk, but we do require a reasonable amount of fitness to be able to go the distance.
Double Vaccinated - this is non negotiable. A lot of the venues we work in are owned or managed by government authorities, and as such, their entry requirements state that all people on site be double vaxed. We don't make the rules, but we do have to follow them.
White card - this is a requirement of many of the sites we work at, so you must hold a current White Card.
Common sense - yes, we need it. Whilst we make stuff happen, we expect that everyone that turns up for a shift, goes home in the same condition that they arrived in. Maybe a little more tired, but still fit and healthy. Safety is a key factor in what we do, and we expect all our staff to be proactive in ensuring they do their bit, looking after themselves and their team-mates.
A can do attitude - we don't have problems, we have challenges. Every team member is empowered to offer a solution to something we may get stuck on. We work together, to get the job done. Sometimes, it means thinking outside the square.
Safety boots & ppe - minimum of a high viz polo shirt. No tank-tops, no footy shorts or trackies. Long work pants or shorts, the choice is yours in those. We expect our crew to look the part, and your appearance reflects on our company. Yes we get dirty while working sometimes, and that is understandable. But first impressions count.
So, if you have gotten this far, and are still interested in joining us, send your resume or expression of interest to our email address: [email protected]
We are only accepting applications via email, as we don't have time to check other messages. You don't have to have a world of experience in events, but if you are willing to listen and learn, then we will teach you.
