**The Story of a Wedding Dress**

Today, I bid farewell to a wedding dress that has been with me for three years. It was one of the very first pieces I brought into my boutique when I opened in Mount Waverley. From the moment I laid eyes on it, I could never bring myself to sell it at a discount because of its sheer beauty. The intricate lace bodice is a masterpiece, delicate as if crafted by a painter’s brush. The flowing chiffon skirt, smooth as silk, cascades like a gentle stream, adding a timeless elegance to the bride who wears it. Each time I looked at it, I imagined it gracing a tall, graceful, and sophisticated bride—a vision of poise and charm.

This month, Black Friday arrived, and with it came inevitable discounts. Then, as if by fate, a bride from Italy walked into my shop. She was refined and gentle, with a quiet shyness that only made her more endearing. Her eyes sparkled as she admired the dress, and I could sense how deeply she longed for it. I also noticed her careful consideration of her budget, so I offered her the Black Friday price—a special half-off deal. As she left, I felt a bittersweet tug in my heart, knowing this dress might soon leave me. It was not just a gown; it represented my dedication, my artistry, and my journey.

Three days later, she called me and said, “I want that dress—it’s my dream dress.”
