I will be showcasing my piece at the Australian Wearable Art Festival, 9th & 10th August 2024 at Venue 114, Bokorina Sunshine Coast.
Throughout my childhood in Papua New Guinea I was exposed to elaborate headpieces, wooden/clay masks and botanical garments.
This experience has undoubtedly had a lifelong impact on my creative insight.
The tradition of each tribe group is to express themselves through colourful dress, music and dance. I was fortunate to witness these ceremonies on a daily basis.
A fusion of two cultures paying tribute to Papua New Guinea (my homeland) and Australia (my heritage).

Creating a sustainable flower garden takes time and dedication. Weāve utilised some old coppers logs and made 2 flower beds, weāve got another 5 to complete.

Paperwhite Narcissus
These star shaped beauties are usually one of the first bulbs to start flowering heading into winter. They have a long vase life and a soft sweet scent. Symbolising good wishes, respect and faithfulness.
Paperwhites look lovely with a few twigs in a decorative vase or paired with some colourful blooms.

These dendrobium orchids arrived just in time for birthday celebrations. Arenāt they stunning !!
Dried wattle sticks provide a light structure, as well as gently supporting the orchids.
Sticks add texture and a nice organic feel to arrangements. Homegrown foliage creates some tropical drama and depth.

A Wearable Canvas was launched tonight at the Caloundra Regional Gallery. What a thrill to take part in this exhibition. It showcases the diversity of wearable art at its best. The exhibition runs until the 25th of June.

I spent a few hours in the studio on Saturday showcasing some pieces Iāve made with rope. This piece was created with Chelsea in mind, as I knew sheād look incredible in it. The softness of the lines and form of the rope create the interest. Rope is flexible, strong and easy to work with. I utilised some old fencing to create the wire balls and covered them in twine and rope. They also look incredible as hanging installations.

Sculpture On The Edge Exhibition. Iāve just completed my piece for this years competition at Flaxton Gardens in the heart of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The exhibition takes place annually and is hosted by Arts Connect Inc. An amazing variety of artwork will be on show throughout Flaxton Gardens. The exhibition is free and open to the public every day from November 20 - December 4. Check it out ! Due to the warmer weather Iāve had to adjust my concept and utilise natives instead of roses. Thank you Caleb for collaborating with me on this one. So grateful ! Itās time to get on the road and head to Flaxton.
