Humbled and our hearts are full.
To each and every person who left us a beautiful comment or sent a message after we announced our store closure, you’ll never know how much we needed to hear, and loved reading your kind words. When we were feeling a bit down and out, you made our hearts smile again. To read about your experiences at Little Shop and how we’ve been a small part of so many of your stories, there just aren’t words to express how much that meant to us. So thank you so much guys 😘

But oh it’s Monday isn’t it! And we promised a little secret reveal didn’t we.. well hold on to your hats ladies and gentleman it’s time for an overhaul!

Time to say Goodbye.

This past year at our Little Shop, has been an absolute dumpster fire. Every time we thought things couldn’t get worse, the universe said, ‘Hold my beer.’

Unfortunately, after ten magical years, our landlords advised that they wouldn’t be renewing our lease, so they can sell our factory vacant. Which, as much as we put on a smiling face every day, hit us like a tonne of bricks. And with a ticking time bomb looming over our heads (not to mention the current financial crisis on top of battling against the horrendous business killer monster Sh*temu..) the past 12 or so months have been the most stressful year of our lives.

So, while we did have the option to continue trading until early 2026, with broken hearts we have decided to pull the pin early and get out now. We have closed the doors and are packing up the magical store that we know you all love as much as we do, our Little Shop of Horrors. Knowing there was an end date creeping closer and closer, has made every day more painful than the last. And we just couldn’t bear it any longer.

So, as much as we love seeing all of your smiling faces in our beloved Little Shop, the doors are now closed on 6/1 Watt Rd forever. There have been many tears and no doubt many more to come as we pack up all of our stock and tear down our wondrous labyrinth, that’s taken us 10 years to create.

Thank you to our many, many gorgeous customers. We are sorry that we haven’t had a chance to say goodbye to you all and to give you one last chance to visit the shop before its closure. Although a longish time coming, things have moved along swiftly over the past few weeks and bingo, bango, now we’ve got two weeks to be outta there.

So farewell to our Little Shop on Watt Rd, you’ve sure been a wild ride. And once reality sets in, we will miss you dearly. (Tearing up a little just thinking of it).

This December, swap your traditional Santa photo for something delightfully eerie with our Creepy Christmas Photography Sessions, exclusively at Little Shop of Horrors Costumery. If you dare, come meet the notorious Krampus, the sly Grinch, or the unsettling Art the Clown in our in-store studio.

This experience is SUPPOSED TO BE CREEPY! Our studio will be dimly and ambiently lit, creepy music will be playing, characters will be in full costume and/or makeup and will be acting the part. If you end up with screaming and crying kids in photos.. all the better! It’s all part of the experience!

Our Little Shoppe is owned by and built from the ground up by two slightly eccentric, geeky and filled to the brim with imagination sisters. To us, Alicia and Louise, it’s more than just a costume shop - it’s our beloved collection, a museum of characters that we invite you to enjoy as much as we do! We are thrilled to offer you the largest and highest quality costume hire collection on the Mornington Peninsula and beyond.

Each and every one of our costumes has been styled to replicate our favourite characters down to the finest detail, using pieces sourced from all over the world. Our suppliers include talented cosplay commissioners, licensed suppliers, independent tailors, vintage emporiums and our very own in-store design space.
