The Avenue The Avenue is a covers band from the Mornington Peninsula. Andre, Chris Eddie Paul and Shawn play mu They pride themselves on the variety of their performance.

The Avenue play a huge range of songs, from classic Australian Rock, American rock'n'roll and current day pop music. Eddie, Andre, Paul and Chris all sing and a big feature of their sound is the vocal harmonising within the group.

Another feature of The Avenue's sound is that Shawn generally plays an electronic drum kit, this allows dance worthy rock classics to be played at a volume suitable fo

r a small venue where people still like to be able to talk!

They are also happy to play at house parties sit on the deck and play into the night taking requests.

If you have a special event coming up and would like to have some entertainment, they are happy to take requests and will probably already play the song or are very happy to perfect for your night.

Our Story

The Avenue are a five piece, sometimes four piece and occasionally 3 piece band, based in Mornington on the lovely Mornington Peninsula. Originally formed by Andre, Brad and Paul (lead vocals/guitar, drums and bass) who have known each other for years (Andre and Paul are cousins). The Avenue was joined by Chris in 2017 on lead guitar and general noise, and then added another dimension by Eddie’s joining in 2018 - adding an Irish lilt, songs and general crowd entertainment to proceedings.

The Avenue play a huge range of songs, from classic Australian and American rock, Irish folk and pop music, some britpop and all the way to the current day. They pride themselves on the variety of their performance. Eddie, Andre, Paul and Chris all sing and a big feature of their sound is the vocal harmonising within the group. ​ Brad generally plays an electronic drum kit, this allows dance worthy rock classics to be played at a volume suitable for a small venue where people still like to be able to talk! ​ They are also happy to play at house parties sit on the deck and play into the night taking requests. The Avenue play for fun, they all have day jobs, Andre is a farrier, Brad a truckie, Eddie is a Builder, Chris is a local vet and Paul - looks after 3 kids, volunteers at local schools and generally messes about with VW beetles. ​ If you have a special event coming up and would like to have some entertainment, they are happy to take requests and will probably already play the song or are very happy to perfect for your night.
