💕 Elisabeth and Harley 💕

Elisabeth and Harley were my last wedding of the year! Chances are you may have seen some of their beautiful wedding photos taken at Coles by as they are currently going viral!

Ellie and Harley were very easy to work with and I absolutely loved bringing their vision to life using flowers from and in pink and white and peachy tones.

Pictures include the bridal bouquet, signage flowers and floral pocket squares ☺️ alot of the flowers from the ceremony were re-purposed at the reception and then after their wedding Ellie and Harley decided to gift their flowers to others who needed them 🥺💕

2023 has been the year with the most growth, with 2024 to be even bigger yet with a little someone blooming 😉

I just want to thank everyone for their patience while I have worked closely with each client on the week of their wedding or event. I've just finished my last wedding of the year and will share photos over the new year period of some of my favourite weddings and events of the season. honestly I've been so lucky to bring so many amazing floral visions to life!

Unfortunately due to all the growing with constant fatigue, morning sickness, and a few other things going on I need to slow down going into the new year and I am unable to any additional event work until mid year 2024 when I will be able to open my books back up 💐

While it's definitely been challenging so far and pregnancy has been far from easy I'm really looking forward to this new chapter, and I look forward to creating again when i'm settled into motherhood 💕

✨Wedding & Event season in full swing ✨

Hi everyone! Just letting you know I am in the thick of wedding and event season so my socials will be a little bit slower and my replies to enquires honestly may be 1-2 weeks at the moment while I work closely with my booked clients on their wedding & event flowers each week.

Apart from a few dates that are being locked in for the remaining 2023 early & 2024 dates I am booked out with bookings open from September 2024 onwards for wedding and event flowers or workshops. If you have enquired for a date in 2024/2025 I will get back to you but it will take me a little bit longer now I'm in peak wedding season 💕 thank you so much for understanding and I hope you are all having a lovely week!

This is exciting to see a local venue Tiny House On The Prairie - Functions and B & B still has a a date available in April 2024, it's a very popular month to get married next year 😅

The 20th of April 2024 is my last date available in April 2024 so if you snap up the venue keep me in mind as your florist, I'm just a little bit down the road ;)

❤️ Elisha and Jack ❤️

What a beautiful winter wedding yesterday! Elisha and Jack got married yesterday at the beautiful Tiny House on the Prairie.

Elisha and Jack wanted a moody romantic feel with reds, purples, oranges, soft rose and green.

Flowers included Elisha's favourite ranunculus, quicksand roses, tulips, snapdragons, carnations, Singapore orchids and lisianthus.

I created the bridal bouquet, buttonhole and the ceremony aisle arrangements to compliment beautiful hire items from the venue. The aisle flowers were re-purposed and placed on the tables at the reception 😊

Thank you Elisha and Jack for allowing me to be a part of your day! I loved bringing your vision to life ❤️😊

Hi, Hello 👋😊!

I haven't posted an about me style of post for a very long time (I much prefer posting pictures of flowers and not me 🤣 it's something I probably need to get a little bit better at especially on my stories!)

My name is Louise and I am the florist behind Storybook Stems 💕

If you didn't know, I love flowers! But the core of it is creating arrangements that make people happy, as silly as it might sound seeing people get excited over flowers makes my heart so full.

A few fun facts about me:

🌼 My business name is inspired by my love of reading, I own an obscene amount of books. My current obsession is gardening books and I'm trying to get back into romance. (I'm late to the party but I'm reading 'the fine print' series at the moment!)

🌼 Fresh out of high school (over a decade ago now) I did work experience at Girlfriend Magazine in Sydney, I felt like a character in a movie that week 🤣, think Devil wears Prada but with the loveliest staff ever.

🌼 I have more qualifications than I can count on one hand.

🌼 My favourite flower are daisies and ranunculus.

🌼 I own 11 chickens 🐥 they are a mix of heritage breeds and more common commercial chickens. They each have their own unique personalities and I love them very much.

🌼 This might be controversial but I am obsessed with coriander... Like eat the whole bunch on a burrito bowl level of obsessed.

🌼 And lastly I had this photo taken to show off a cute flower crown kinda like the ones we will be designing at the flower crown workshop I'm hosting at Karkoo in August!

✨ Preserved Arrangement Workshop Karkoo Oakbank✨

Here is the second workshop Storybook Stems will be hosting at Karkoo Nursery in the workshop shed!

This workshop will be on the 23rd of September 2pm we will be creating a stunning natural or pastel toned arrangement with lots of stunning preserved flowers, and the ticket price includes a platter from the Karkoo Cafe🥰

it should be an amazing afternoon where you get to learn a new floristry skills and you get to take it home in gorgeous gift wrapping 💐🥰

I'm really looking forward to hosting workshops and I really hope you will join me!

✨ Flower Crown Workshop Karkoo Oakbank✨

I am so excited to announce the first of two workshops Storybook Stems will be hosting at Karkoo Nursery in the workshop shed!

The first workshop on the 26th of August at 11am we will be creating gorgeous flower crowns with an abundance of flowers 🥰 it should be a fun filled morning where you get to learn a new floristry skill and you get a take home kit to practice at home with you own flowers 💐🥰

Can anyone relate to the feeling of going on holiday, relaxing (I spent a lot of time hiking and wildflower spotting in the Grampians!) And then coming back to what feels like triple the amount of work 😅

So I'm here! But at the same time wildly busy in the background 🌼

Happy Mother's Day!

I've had flowers go out to mums, grandmothers, mother figures, fur baby mums, mums with their children living far away, expectant mums, mums experiencing loss and mother figures 💕

And I've seen so much joy and so many happy tears delivering flowers the last few days ❤️

I know this day isn't always the easiest for everyone but I hope everyone has a wonderful day and I can't wait to deliver the last round of flowers 💐

I'm so excited to share Storybook Stems will be at Makers on Melrose Market the 20th of May at Mt Pleasant ❤️

The Makers on Melrose Market runs every 3rd Saturday of the Month alongside the weekly Mt Pleasant Farmers Market.

Come and visit us from 8am-12pm you can get brekky, stock up on fresh local farmers market goodies and also visit all the gorgeous artisanal Makers on Melrose Market (including gorgeous arrangements from me!)
