I often talk to my students about colour saturation and the best way to see if you have a good composition of chiaroscuro (light to dark) is to convert your coloured images to black and white using a phone filter. It's a great tool for us Artists to help see our work in a different light. If you're happy with it in black and white then its likely you've got a good balance of colour saturation. A lot of us creatives can doubt ourselves, I do! so using the tools available to us can help us gain new perspective.

We had so much fun this afternoon in art class making nature collages. Some of these young Artists made portraits of for the Bradley portrait prize. We loved exploring different textures from the garden such as fallen leaves, used coffee ground, sand, bark, rocks and leaves all glued onto old boxes.

This was the last class this term. We look forward to seeing our young Artists over the school holidays and next term.

A big Congratulations to my After School Art class kids! Your "Cups of kindness" came first in your section at the Waste to Art exhibition at . Last term's students also received an Honourable mention with their Old book sculptures as well as Molly's sculpture of an Eagle made from cardboard boxes. Congratulations to everyone, your works look great on display. The exhibition is on until 21 July.
