On the 25th March we were honoured to donate our venue to host a Night for Mia. 10 year old local girl Mia, was first diagnosed with Medulloblastoma in 2019. When the cancer returned at the start of the year, Mia’s Angel’s jumped into action to plan a fundraising evening to help fund her treatment and we were grateful to be able to play a part.

With thanks to Mudgee Event Lighting & Production Charm Balloons Mudgee The Cussing Cultivator Flower Farm and our fantastic staff, we turned our marquee blue for Mia and the night was filled with amazing entertainment, an incredible auction and even a video call with Miss Mia herself who was in Germany receiving treatment.

We already knew our Mudgee community was extremely special but were blown away by the generosity of our community when the final amount raised totalled $108,000!!

As this post goes out, we have just received the wonderful news from Mia’s family that her MRI from yesterday shows no sign of cancer. Country towns are filled with some of the biggest hearts and the most generous souls and we would like to send a big thank you to our beautiful staff who donated their time to work the event as well as all of the local businesses who donated to the night, without who, this outstanding result would not have been possible.

And to Miss Mia, Mia’s Journey, you’re our inspiration and we can’t wait to see you at Putta Bucca House soon!

Earlier in November, we played host to a fabulous 50th for birthday girl Paula. Her daughter who planned the surprise party gave us her concept of Coachella but with a Paula twist, resulting in Paulchella! To create the festival vibe, we commissioned a custom made, 7m wide Paulchella sign and a hanging marquee installation, while our friends at @charmballoonsmudgee created a beautiful balloon garland photo display. Guests sipped on some of @huntingtonestate finest wines while feasting on treats from the festival essential, @nackersmudgee food truck.
