Did you know blue is the rarest / least common flower colour?

A floral that’s always the top of every couple’s wishlist is DELPHINIUM! These to me are the epitome of a whimsical garden wedding, and they’re so desirable as its one of the few blue florals available as a cut flower.

Delphinium is a gorgeous flower and it has the most divine stem length. When they’re in season (like right now!) I use them in every single wedding if I can! They are so dainty and the blue colour is just magical. 🤍

In saying that, they can be SO bloody hard to source and come with a price tag too. Not only does every couple want them, so do most florists, and that’s why there tends to be a shortage of them occasionally.

However, my growers & wholesalers take good care of me and supply me with the perfect blooms to ensure I can always create my soft whimsy style.

If delphinium isn’t available, snapdragons or stock flower are a good alternative as they have great stem length too and are around at a similar time, however you unfortunately can’t get them in this soft powder blue, hence why everyone loves it so much!

You can commonly see delph in soft blue, navy, white, pale pink, mauve & deep purple. There is also a ‘butterfly’ variety which I also work with, which is a lot smaller and daintier, but this soft blue/lilac variation will always have my heart.
