Tomaree Markets are on every 2nd & 4th Sundays, (weather permitting), 9am to 1.00pm. This is a local family operated market, new stalls welcome

The markets are held in Neil Carroll Park, at Fly Point, Nelson Bay adjacent to the beautiful Bay waterfront. Tomaree Markets occurs every 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. It is a local outdoor market, with a variety of handmade art and craft stalls, designer goods, collectables, plants and many unique items. Also having gourmet artisan food, and barista coffee. Our market is only cancelled due to dangerous weather conditions.

Our low pressure system, might now be classified as an East Coast Low, and is currently moving onshore near Nelson Bay. The "eye" looks to have stalled over the last radar frame or two, so will be interesting to see where it moves from here.

Heavy coastal showers & storms are continuing along with some strong winds around the eye of the system. I would think waterspouts are a chance with this setup as well & could also move onshore.

Thank you to our stallholders who were at our market yesterday, and thank you all for helping to raise some money for the gofund me, for our stallholder Anne Speers who passed away last week. We raised $140, and I did the donation of $160 towards the fund, so hopefully every little bit counts. We will really miss having Anne at our market!

Just wanted to let our stallholders know of some sad news, our lovely lady Anne, with her stall K9, with doggie gear, passed away suddenly last Monday, 2nd September, I still can't believe it! Anne has been at our market for quite some time, and she will be sorely missed by all who knew her, such a beautiful person. We will all miss you Anne, and our market sends our condolences to her family.

Sorry everyone, but our market for tomorrow, 28th July is cancelled, due to the marine wind warning issued. The safety of our stallholders, and public is our priority, and we don't want to risk any issues with the large trees in the park. Our market insurance does not cover operating the market with the wind forecast of over 30ks. Hopefully these weather conditions will soon disappear, and we can get back to normal with some great market weather.
