Seward, Alaska! What amazing scenery. The temperature has hovered around -2 deg cel but that hasn’t seemed to bother us. Three or four layers helps. Took a trip out into Resurrection Bay where we saw a whale, dall porpoises, otters, bald eagles, puffin birds and Billy goats. Alas, no Orcas at this stage.
By the edge of the Bay there is a museum and educational centre.

Earlier this year, I entered the National Portrait Photography Competition run by the National Gallery in Canberra. This is a portrait of a dear friend of mine, Margaret. She’s a dressmaker and has been for over 60 years. In June she will be 94 years old. I knew my portrait probably wouldn’t be “edgy” enough or even good enough but I put myself out there nevertheless.
NO! It did not make the finals but I am actually happy I tried. Thank you Margaret for allowing me to take your portrait. Love you xx
