I’ve been a marriage celebrant in Newcastle, Hunter Valley and Port Stephens for over 16 years and have LOVED every minute of it. Prior to having three children in three years, I worked in executive HR roles including Training & Development and event management. Public speaking comes naturally to me … after conducting hundreds of training sessions I work well with a crowd. Working with a diverse r

ange of people during my HR career; I am able listen, question and then create the ceremony you are dreaming of. Bringing it all together to make a stress free experience for you. My most recent event management role was organising the Save the Babies Charity Golf Day, raising over $365,000 over a 10-year period supporting the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. Organising and running events has given me an understanding of how each piece of the event fits together – and that each piece/service is important. I’ll work with all your ceremony suppliers including your wedding photographer and videographer to get that best shot – and yes that includes me getting out of that perfect photo shot! It is a privilege and a joy to be a part of significant life events. Over my 15 years of being a celebrant I have conducted ...

During my time as a celebrant I have also conducted wedding ceremonies for couples who are terminally ill. It is heartbreaking but immensely important for the couple being married.

I’ve conducted ‘visa weddings’ to meet the requirements of the couple’s visa applications.

Some ceremonies have had to be conducted with a very short lead up, such as Defence personnel posting overseas or interstate, so I have assisted my couples work through the Shortening of Time process.

I’ve had the pleasure of performing weddings and baby namings for special needs couples. Stepping couples through the required legal process of a wedding while creating a ceremony that usually involves family and friends.

So many ceremonies, they are all different and all very special. Each couple, each family is unique, and that’s what I love about my job – working with each couple, listening to their individual story, and creating their dream ceremony.
