Role Overview:
As our Chef, you will play a key role in curating and delivering high-quality, mouth-watering dishes that elevate our guests' dining experience. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, from food preparation to presentation, while ensuring a high standard of food safety and hygiene. Whether it’s a sophisticated event or a casual dining experience, your creativity, skills, and attention to detail will shine.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare, cook, and present dishes in accordance with the venue’s high standards.
• Lead and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient operation and smooth service.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop and update the menu.
• Maintain inventory levels, ordering stock, and minimizing waste.
• Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety are upheld in the kitchen.
• Provide guidance and training to junior kitchen staff.
• Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience.
• Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as needed.
• Manage food preparation for events and functions with specific dietary requirements or themed menus.

Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Chef, Sous Chef, or in a similar role within a high-volume, quality-driven kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Creativity and passion for culinary arts with an eye for presentation.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with both à la carte and event-based menus.
• A relevant culinary qualification is preferred.
• A team player with a positive attitude and a drive for excellence.

Casual Maintenance Person Wanted for Function Venue & Cafe

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Casual Maintenance Person to join our team. In this role, you will help ensure our venue remains in excellent condition, providing a safe and welcoming environment for all events and guests.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform general maintenance tasks, including light repairs and troubleshooting.
2. Assist with setting up and maintaining equipment and furniture for events.
3. Ensure cleanliness and safety of the venue, including common areas, restrooms, and back-of-house spaces.
4. Respond promptly to any maintenance issues or emergencies during events.
5. Monitor the building's facilities and systems, such as heating, lighting, and plumbing.
6. Support the team with any ad-hoc tasks as required.

What We’re Looking For:
1. Previous experience in a maintenance or handyman role (preferred but not essential).
2. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Flexibility with hours, including evenings and weekends.
5. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
