Ultra Marathon runners are just another breed. This is Pat Farmer running his leg of 1000 Mile run across Australia. I caught up with him and the crew in Singleton at the army base. It rained that day but it did not stop them.

A little history last night with the interment of Karl Stockhousen’s ashes at Ben Ean winery. A gathering of colleagues and friends of Karl came together to honour an icon of the valley. Karl stared at Ben Ean in 1955 and it was here that he made some of the Hunters legendary wines. I had the honour of photographing Karl many times and it was always that greeting smile that welcomed me. A great man and just a great guy. .wine
